My skincare routine this week has been interesting.

1. Cleanse with the Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Smoothing Daily Cleanser and the Clarisonic Mia.
2. Put the Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Eye Firming treatment on my eyes
3. Put the Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Intensive Skin Repair Serum on my face and neck.
Wait about 5 minutes.
4. Put mark For Goodness Face Antioxidant SPF 30 moisturizer on my eyes, face and neck.
5. Put on the Covergirl Natureluxe Lip Balm SPF 15.

1. Remove eye makeup with Nyx Eye & Lip makeup remover
2. Cleanse face with Korres 3 in 1 Milk Cleanser
3. Put Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Overnight Hydrating Cream on my entire eye area.
4. Put Alpha Hydrox Retinol ResQ on my face and neck.
Wait about 5 minutes
5. Put Jason Ester C lotion on my face and neck, avoiding the eye area entirely.
6. Put on Epically Epic lip balm.

I’m really liking the results I’m getting from doing this skincare routine. I feel like my face is looking smoother and the skin is looking healthier.

With my hair:
Washed it on Sunday with L’Oreal Ever Pure Shampoo.
Used Tigi Superstar Volumizing Leave in Conditioner sprayed on a comb to comb through it and then used a large round brush and blow dried it.
On Thursday I used Batiste dry shampoo.

I’m working on a Project 10 ‘Pan’ with shower gels/body washes. I’ve got 2 down so far, almost finished a 3rd. (One Hand Washes the Other Pomegranate Oak, Bath & Body Works Vanilla Noir, and working on Bath & Body Works Dark Kiss).

What are you doing for your routines lately? And is anyone working on a Project 10 Pan of some sort?

I’ve been pretty minimalist with my skincare routine (laziness?).

      - Yes to Cucumbers Wipes
      - Desert Essence Tea Tree Pads to remove remaining whatever on my skin
      - Na-PCA for moisturizer

When I’m not feeling as lazy I’ll use the Burt’s Bees Lemon Poppy Seed Cleanser.

I also got this cool new mask from Spoiled Rotten on Etsy that I use either in the morning or evening, depending on my mood.

      • Phyrra

I need to do masks more. I have some great ones. How do you like the mask? How does it work?

        • Deb

I usually just pick one, or sometimes I’ll even put both on, lol. They have really similar consistencies… one just has the dead sea mud in it, the other has some extra goodies. I have noticed my face getting softer in the past week, and I think it’s working pretty well… but I’d need to use it for another week or so to be sure. I just got it a few days ago. It kind of stings when I put my moisturizer on after but it fades pretty fast. It doesn’t dry my skin out either.

I usually leave it on for like 15-ish minutes.

          • Phyrra

            Eek! Stinging is not good!

            • Deb

              I think it’s cause I have blemishes.

    • BF

I wish I could get away with washing my hair twice a week. Mine goes to crap after a day and a half or so. I’ll have to check out the Yes to Blueberries line.

      • Phyrra

I’ve just gotten accustomed to washing it every 5 to 7 days, as I don’t tend to have a problem with oil, but not everyone can do that. Ray has to wash his every other day.

    • http://whatabind.blogspot.com Amanda

I use anti-acne cleansers for my daily routine both day and night. But I recently added a facial brush to my night routine and I’m really happy with the results. I never knew that my skin could be this clean!

      • Phyrra

        Yay for the brush!

    • Krista carlson

I alternate my face wash with Purpose cleansing wash and Dermalogica skin resurfacing cleanser in the morning followed by Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF 15

Night time I was with Purpose cleansing wash and use Hope in a jar by Philosophy for moisturizer…

I wash my hair probably twice a week. Now I went blonde so I am using Redken Color Extend shampoo and conditioner…I do need to get a really good conditioning treatment for my hair…

I’m not gonna bore anyone with my skincare routine, but it also changes when I wake up with bumps I didn’t have the night before or I had them at night and wake up and they’ve improved. I need to stop being surprised by my changeable skin!

I could do a Project 10 Pan for specific items, but I would miss out on buying 2 foundations from 2 diff lines and getting a GWP with some things I wanted to try. Instead, I have a current moratorium on buying new body washes and eyeshadows, as those are 2 things I have way too many of!

      • Phyrra

Yeah, that’s why I’m doing a project 10 ‘pan’ for body washes. I’ve got sooo many of them! I wanna work through my stock.

I have a question for you–I know you’ve posted about the Yes to Blueberries Firming Eye Cream before and mentioned you liked what it did for your allergy eyes. I’m not sure if my problem is allergies, but it’s the only explanation I have for normal skin under my eyes one day and scaly lizard eyes within a week. What symptoms exactly did the allergies cause in the skin around your eyes? Was it puffiness? Discoloration? Dryness? Something else entirely? (Note, those are not necessarily my symptoms, just trying to gauge what sort of problems that eye cream works best for–I am in DESPERATE need!)

      Thanks bunches!

      • Phyrra

I had a severe allergic reaction to Stila smudge pots under my eyes, which caused the skin to get red, rash-like, and then the skin sloughed off, was swollen, REALLY unhappy, painful skin.

I put shea butter on it, which helped but switching to the eye cream helped a lot to.

For my eyes, the eye cream was gentle enough to my freaked out skin to hydrate it. If yours is freaking out, pure shea butter or emu oil may work best.

        • http://www.queencicada.com Luna

Hmm, okay. I may just be slowly turning into a lizard, who knows. I’m not at all puffy or red or dark, just scaly and dry and actually rough to the touch. Concealer just cakes, since I’ve also developed deep lines, so I’m especially displeased. Tried jojoba oil a few nights in a row, hasn’t been doing anything. Might try to get my hands on straight-up shea butter and give it a shot. Thanks!

          • Phyrra

While my under eye area was healing, it was VERY dry. I mean like… dry for a month super dry, so the eye cream + shea butter helped.

I have been using the Sharon Maire Skin Care line. I have been loving it! I hope to get a review of the products up soon.

And no “Pan Projects” for me right now. I did do some spring cleaning and got rid of some things. But I’ve been pretty good about using thing up over the past couple months!

      • Phyrra

Yay! I look forward to the review.

I hear you loud and clear on the project 10 pan for bath and body suppplies! I’m trying to use up some old Bath and Body Works I have. I “rotate” my scent with the seasons, so I’ve ammassed way too many. Once I knock out four sets of shower gel, body wash, and body spray, I’m going to buy some goodies from indie brands. I’m drooling over some of the listings that Ten Digits Creations has on Etsy :) It shouldn’t take too long- three of the bottles barely have a weeks use left in them.

Luna- try Vitamin E oil. It’s magic. It cures all, redness, irritation, cuts, helps with fine lines. It’s a bit sticky but work it in. So worth it.

I’m all over the place with my skin care routine. I’m trying to finish up some Garnier gel cleanser.

Ugh, I have to wash my hair pretty much every day. I can use dry shampoo the morning after but byt the end of the day it is icky…

I’m always going pan projects. lol I recently finished a 100 pan challenge. However, I included samples, make-up, body washes and lotion. I had a lot of half-used product that I wasn’t throwing away.

I’ve been meaning to try Say Yes to Blueberries…

      • Phyrra

Kudos on the 100 pan challenge!!!

Hi! This sounds weird but I found you from the poodle forum! (Yay for poodles!) I noticed your profile said you liked make up, etc and it led me here. :)

I keep a very simple skin care routine though not by choice; I have the terrible luck of having combination skin + sensitive skin and have broken out using Ponds and Johnson & Johnson.

I wash my face with Cetaphil and then top it off with Neutrogena Visibly Even Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 (I was using Earth Science Almond Aloe Moisturizer, sfp 15 but in the summer it sweated off me and into my eye and stung really badly.)

At night I use Neutrogena Makeup Removing Night Calming Face Towelettes because I noticed washing my face with cold water tends to wake me up and the scent of this is relaxing.

I want to try other things but I’m scared to since my skin doesn’t take kindly to change.

      • Phyrra

Hi! Yay poodles! I <3 my standard.

I’ve heard a lot of people love Cetaphil! I will have to check out the Neutrogena moisturizer, I’m a fan of SPF 30 or higher.

I have sensitive skin and I always feel like things are a risk on whether or not they’ll bug my skin, so I know what ya mean, though I do tend to try a lot for review purposes.

I’m trying to use up 6 lippies so I can buy Eyeko Fat Balms. I’ve got 2 down!

      • Phyrra

        Woot! You can do it!

    • http://la3leches.blogspot.com Loopz

You’re so good about wearing sunscreen… I’m terrible at remembering :(
      Bad Loopz, bad!

You take really good care of your skin, no wonder it looks so pretty even without makeup on.

      • Phyrra

I burn very easily, so I learned from an early age, wear sun screen or be miserable and peeling.
And hell, I wish I had started wearing moisturizer from an early age, but no one told me to >.<

    • http://sugarpao.blogspot.com sugar sugar

thank you for this post! i love seeing other blogger’s skin care routine. =)

i’m using philosophy’s purity made easy cleanser, a bunch of naruko skin care and l’occitane’s very precious moisturizer. i also got a sample of khiel’s midnight recovery serum. now i’m thinking if i should go buy the whole bottle. x)

      • Phyrra

Sounds like the Kiehl’s is really good.
