I did an unusual look for me today. If I had to do it over again, I’d probably have chosen a different lippy, one that was more pigmented and pink. I used a 50/50 mix of Joppa’s Morning Dew foundation in Citrine & Goldenrod. I think Goldenrod is a bit too dark for my taste, and Citrine is a bit too yellow, though it does a good job of cancelling out my pink overtone. I used Laura Geller’s In Spumoni & Sinful Praline eye shadow duo. It was definitely a neutral eye look. Stila’s Illuminating finishing powder in Rose Gold was used as blush. I followed that up with UD’s XXX Shine gloss in Heatherette. I think the gloss shade made me look washed out, which is why I think I needed a more pigmented lip.
This was taken in direct sunlight, no shade. The foundation was applied on my neck and chest in addition to my face.
This was in the shaded section of the lanai.

I don’t think you look washed out at all, though it is a neutral look. You look very ‘soft’, if you know what I mean. I have Heatherette too, it doesn’t have a ton of color, I agree, but it’s good for a simple, fresh look. Pretty!
Thank you. I think I’m not used to being neutral all over.
I actually like the lip. It mirrors the sophistication of the eye, and brings the whole look together.
Thanks Vijaya! It’s just so weird for me to be neutral all over.
I love the neutral eye look! I think your lips look nice too. That’s what I like about you; you are so versatile and look great in everything!
Thank you Jessi! I think practice helps
I actually really love the lippie! Cute look
I like the softer lip. The eye combo is gorgeous – neutral but the furthest thing from boring ever, and appropriate for so all environments!
Aww thanks Cin!
You look like you are glowing with this look. It looks natural and pretty!
Thank you Tina!
I really like that foundation on you, too. It shows very well in pictures and really does tone down the pinks in your skin.
Would you say you like that foundation better than the Meow foundation?
No! I haven’t used it enough to say anything like that. The Meow Pampered Puss foundation really is my holy grail, always matches me I do like the Morning Dew Bronzing foundation, but I haven’t found what I consider to be a good shade match for my skintone.
I really love this look and I don’t think it washes you out at all. It’s a soft, feminine neutral and it looks really lovely!
Ack, sorry for the double comment. I forgot to say that your foundation did a really nice job of hiding your pink overtones. Very pretty look!
I’d call it a very work & interview safe look. Not washed out. Great for casual days too.
I just nominated you for the Versatile Blogger award! Please check my blog for all the tag rules.

Your skin looks glowing and the looks is great! I don’t think the lipgloss makes you look washed out at all
This looks very pretty including the lipgloss and I LOVE the last picture!
Thank you Gio!
I think this is a lovely look, not at all washed out. Very feminine and fresh.
I love that last photo sooo much
