Quite a while ago I picked up a Smashbox eye shadow in Flamingo from Apothica.
Flamingo is described as a coral pink with soft shimmer.
To me it reads closer to a true coral shade with gold shimmer.
However, when you glance at the color from an angle, you can see a hint of coral-pink. This color works really well as a color was on the lid and crease.
The Website Claims:
It gives your eyes a shimmering color enhancement without any creasing or flaking. Dimethicone gives a smooth finish. Vitamin E fights free-radical damage. Silica leaves a sheen.
The Ingredients are:
Zinc Stearate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Dimethicone, Talc, Boron Nitride, Vinyl Dimethicone Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Corn Starch, Silica, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lauroyl Lysine, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Disodium EDTA, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Isopentyldiol

$15.80 for .06 oz. (for comparison MAC is .05 oz for $14.50)
Does it live up to its claims?
Yes. As long as I wear an eye shadow primer, it lasts on me all day. It doesn’t flake and it’s one of those fabulous eye shadow colors that looks like you’re wearing 3 colors at once. It’s multidimensional and gorgeous.
Would I purchase again?
Yes. I like this color, and I like the texture and finish. I’d definitely try another color from Smashbox if one caught my attention. This was my first Smashbox eye shadow and I don’t think it will be my last. This is definitely a nice color for spring or summer.

I love Smashbox eyeshadows! They have some of the best quality I’ve found. I love that they are cruelty free as well. My favorite shadow to do a smokey eye (with just one shadow, no additional ones) is Smashbox’s color Obsidian.

And Jessi, I don’t think you need to feel bad about ordering from Sleek. I know they’ve had some massive issues, but I think a lot of it is due to inexperience and low staffing. It takes a lot to open a company from the ground up, let alone turn a profit.
Iit seems like Sleek is expanding at a rate a little faster than they can handle, I really don’t think the ordering and communication snafus are malfeasance on the company’s part. Hopefully, as their profit margin increases, we’ll start to see some better service out of them, because the line really is great!

Thank you so much easing my mind a bit. I think they really are trying, too. I’ve contacted them a few times on Twitter and they’ve always responded right back. I just know a lot of people were upset with how that 50% off thing was handled, as I would have been. I really like the products I got and hopefully the company is able to meet up with demand.
