Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer and Treatment in Light – Review

After hearing about how Eve Pearl’s Salmon Concealer is such a miracle product all over the internet, when I saw it for sale on Hautelook, I decided to snag it.

The Website Claims:
No more dark circles! Revolutionizing the use of the “Salmon” or pinky/peach color as an under eye concealer to neutralize the dark blue undertones from the skin. (Yellows mixed with the blue undertones create those greenish/grey raccoon eyes that are highlighted and only accentuate the problem area.) This luxurious, lightweight cream provides the most versatile sheer – medium – full coverage with a non-greasy texture that glides on the under eyes area or face, while allowing your skin to breathe. It blends into the skin and the universal spectrum of color in the pigments adapt to the skin tone and the changes caused by body chemistry, weather and sun exposure. Ideal for use when flawless precision is required with High Definition Cameras, Lights and REAL LIFE…for all ages.

Light Salmon under my eye, applied with a concealer brush, blended out & then set with Aromaleigh Ultra Resolution Finishing powder in clear.

Does it live up to its claims?
This concealer has a lengthy list of claims. I’m not sure it lives up to all its crazy claims (like “It blends into the skin and the universal spectrum of color in the pigments adapt to the skin tone and the changes caused by body chemistry, weather and sun exposure”), but I do feel like it does a good job at covering up darkness, blending and staying where I put it, and not creasing or caking on me. Honestly, when I first swatched it, I thought it would be way too dark. That said, I think it works pretty well under my eyes, so maybe there is some truth to its claims.

Would I purchase again?
Maybe, if I could get it on sale again. Otherwise I do feel like it’s on the expensive side, at $35. I definitely think it’s one of the better concealers that I’ve tried as the texture was creamy and easy to tap on and blend.

Have you tried Eve Pearl’s Salmon Concealer? What do you think of it?

I haven’t tried this precisely because of the price. I’m sure it’s probably good, but what concealer is $35 bucks good?

I didn’t mind getting it on sale on Hautelook but I’d never pay full price for it.

I too purchased it on hautelook and I love it. I pat it on and blend it in, then I set it with Hard Candy Moon Glow, the subtle shimmer is perfect for undereyes. I’ll totally buy it again……when it’s on sale again. Of course this pot is gonna last years!

Yeah I do find if I put my foundation over it, I don’t look dark, so that’s really good.

I agree with the first comment. I see a few pro MUA’s and a couple YT gurus rave over it, but I don’t see it being practical other than for personal use at that price. BUT I’m game to try anything lol. Great review, as always- thanks!

Do you think this is the best concealer you have used (not factoring in price)? I know you usually have issues with creasing so its amazing that this one doesn’t. $35 is a lot, but if something works that well, it might be worth it.

No, the L’Oreal True Match is my favorite of all the ones I’ve tried, though I’m really liking the Korres one, even if it is a tad dark, too.

I have been totally wanting a review from some blog I read on a daily about this concealer (also in my skin tone) and I’m also glad that in your comments you have given cheaper alternatives that you’ve liked. thank you so much!

I have this myself, and I’m not really a fan. Like Phyrra, the light salmon is quite a bit deeper than my skin tone, so I can only use it as a color corrector- meaning after I blend it out, I still have to cover the orange with another concealer.

I would say those a tad darker may have better luck, but I’ve also tried this on a client who has very visible veins under her eyes, and while this did cancel out some of the blue, it didn’t do enough actual concealing- I still had to use a normal concealer to erase the veins.

I really think this should be labeled “color corrector” and not concealer- if you are fair and your circles are light enought that concealer alone normally takes care them, this may just be an unnecessary extra step for you- at least that’s how I felt. I carry it in my kit now, because you never know!

I also found that it did settle a little bit in the socket lines under my eyes- though I’ve never really found anything that doesn’t (not really sure why, must be my skin type or face shape or something!) so I have to be careful when I blend not to let it drift too close to my lower lash line.
