Green Teal Purple Look Tutorial

This look is inspired by my blue-aqua-teal-green skirt/dress and I got the idea to add white to the inner corner of the eye from a look on the MakeupGeek forums. I wore this Saturday night for my best friend’s Birthday Party. I did a photo tutorial with the look.

Step 1 – Apply Too Faced Shadow Insurance (or any eye shadow primer you like)

Step 2 – Apply Nunchucks to lid

Step 3 – Apply Delinquent to lid

Step 4 – Apply Vapour to browbone with ecotools highlighter brush

Step 5 – Apply 59 to crease with urban decay crease brush

Step 6 – Apply Afterparty to lower crease and outer v with a pencil brush

Step 7 – Apply Tako to the inner v and extend it inward with the Real techniques liner brush

Step 8 – Blend the edge of Afterparty & 59 in the crease with a bit of Switch with the ecotools smudge brush

Step 9 – Blend Switch up and on top of 59

Step 10 – Apply more Vapour under the eyebrows

Step 11 – Apply more Delinquent

Step 12 – Apply 13 liquid liner

Step 13 – Wing out Cat Eye

Step 14 – Blend the crease with MAC 224 brush

Step 15 – Apply Smokin’ Pistol to the lower lash line

Step 16 – With a stiff angled brush, smudge Smokin’ Pistol along the lash line a bit

Step 17 – Apply Switch to the inner lower lash line area with an ecotools smudge brush

Step 18 – Apply more Tako with the Real Techniques angled eye shadow brush

Step 19 – Apply Zero to inner water line

Step 20 – Apply Electric to outer lower water line

Step 21 – Brush brows into shape & apply Nyx Black Brow Pencil

Step 22 – With a stiff angled eye shadow brush, soften the lines of the brow pencil

Step 23 – Apply mascara and you’re done!

I ended up going with the lighter lip.

Of course, Phaedra & Max followed me outside ;)

Phaedra is looking grand! Very cute. And I love your outfit.

The white on the inside of the eye is a really interesting touch – the whole look makes me think of like a sci-fi theme? Pretty cool.

One question about the MakeupGeek forums – I only discovered them a couple of days ago, and any time I try and click on a link from Google it always says they’re down/moving to a new server? What’s with that?

I honestly wasn’t sure how I felt about this one (electric green and I aren’t really buds any more) but changed my mind when I saw the first finished picture with the flower in your hair and then more so with the full body shot. Looks great!

What a fun and pretty look! I agree that the lighter lip was the better choice. You look absolutely adorable and I’d say this is perfect for a birthday party. Of course, these are some of my favorite colors, so I might be a bit biased ;-)
Really enjoyed the picture tutorial to see the evolution of the look, very helpful for those of us who are still a bit…. color blending inept, lol. Now I feel horrible that I wore such a boring eye today (although my Evil Shades gloss was fab!). Ok, from now on, more color!
