Very recently Make Up For Ever released their new liquid eyeliners, the Aqua Liners. I was so excited by the Iridescent fuchsia that I had to pick that up, as well as the Diamond Black Purple, to give them a try.

Price:
$23 for .058 oz
Another blurred shot to show off the sparkle in 7.
Does it live up to its claims?
Yes! I tested the wear on these two liners and they lasted 24 hours through tears and sweating and sleep. I found the colors to be gorgeous and bright. The foam applicator was actually pretty easy to use to apply the liner, though I did find the handle a bit longer than I normally like. Once you apply these colors and they dry, they’re not going to move. You can rub at them or use water and it’s not going to move until you get the makeup remover. These didn’t irritate my eyes at all, even though I did sleep in them to see how they’d last.
The tip is fine so you can make very thin lines, thick lines, or very thick lines. The fuchsia is amazingly pigmented, especially when I compare it to other pink liners I have. The Diamond Black Purple has gorgeous sparkle in it and I really like that finish.
Would I purchase again?
Yes. Though they’re more expensive than I like to pay, the color payoff, formula and wear make them very nice. The other colors I’m interested in are 4, 5, 6, 10 and 11. Yeah, I really like this formula! I’ll be watching for a sale at Sephora to pick up more of these colors.
Have you tried the new MUFE Aqua Liners? Do you like liquid liners?
Products purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

Hello Cotton
Yikes. $23. They’re pretty, but I don’t know if I’d personally be willing to shell out that much cash for one liner.

Wait for one of the Sephora F&F 20% off sale
That’s when I plan to pick up more.
Veeeery true. There’s just so much stuff to potentially get!

Makes you wonder how one tests make-up through tears. Onions? =’D
When I’m up late, my eyes will water when I’m tired.
I like MUFE for their staying power. Hot pink liner?! Um YES!

A weeeeee bit out of my price range, personally… but DANG if that isn’t some awesome colour impact.
A definite lust, at any rate!

I find that the similar MAC liners flake when the dry liner is smudged (with a brush or with my finger). The resulting flakes always found their way into my eyes. From your review, it seems the MUFE formula may be slightly different. Can you tell me if you actively rubbed your eyes? I would love to try these but, as an allergy sufferer, it makes a big difference if they flake. Thanks for the great review!
These didn’t flake on me at all when I rubbed at them. In fact, what I Did notice when I used makeup remover (Sonia Kashuk) to take them off is that they flaked off with the makeup remover. They were easy to remove with the remover, but they didn’t budge on me at all until then.
I suffer from awful allergies too, so I can certainly relate!
Thanks, Phyrra! I’ll definitely check them out.

Ugh, these are TOO pretty. Mostly too pretty because I can’t afford to buy them all, haha.

I’d pay twenty three bucks for that pink. LOVE.

The pink is so much better than the MAC Full Fuchsia liner I own. It’s a lot more pigmented.
I *must* have diamond black purple. But I *must* get paid first…
I really love the sparkle in that one!
I’m not a person that likes vibrant colours, but I must admit that these ones made a good impression on me. But the price….
I know! It is definitely higher than any other liner I own.
These look awesome! I’m glad they work well as I have been looking for a more high-end eyeliner to replace some older ones that I didn’t like. Unfortunately, I was just in a city with a Sephora (there isn’t one where I currently live) and they didn’t have any of these out yet! I was very sad

I had to buy mine online as the closest Sephora to me isn’t carrying them yet.
I love the hair! And those liners look amazing-I’m going to go check them out now. You’re a bad influence! I’m such a sucker for all this pretty makeup and then it just sits there!
Aww, I have to try and rotate to make sure I use stuff, so I know what you mean.
I want the red one soo much!
That’s a lot for a liner, but those are freaking gorgeous.

They are expensive, I agree!
I actually JUST picked up 10 of these today at a trade show. They remind me a lot of MAC’s Superslick Liners, which I loved but unfortunately aren’t permanent. The ONLY problem I have with them is the difficulty of removal. Absolutely NO remover I own (natural, chemical, oil-based, water-based, or otherwise) take them off. :/

Oh wow! I had no problem removing them with the Sonia Kashuk eye makeup remover.
I LOVE the Fuchsia one, but I can’t use a liquid liner to save my life. It always looks like a mess. I’m planning a trip to Sephora tomorrow to try out the pencil Aqua Liners though, because they have those in fuchsia as well (not to mention they’re a couple bucks cheaper).
It took me a lot of practice to be able to use them and even now I still sometimes make mistakes.
I just ordered #9! it’s so different from any other eyeliner I own, I’m really excited about it.

Yay!
I need these liners in a bad way. The price tag is a little prohibitive, but I’d buy a few of the more unusual colors just to have some rock solid liners that will withstand the sweltering summer or a workout. Now if only my local sephora would stock these so I can see which of the purples looks best with my skin. I can’t wait to see the deep red in person too.
The colors you have look awesome! The pink looks so good against your hair. Hmm…. I wonder if the dark purple would stand out against mine when it gets a refresher.
I would definitely give it a try
Could you use #9 on your lips?
I’m not sure, but I would guess no.
I have number 8 and number 14. I love number 8 but number 14 is just ok, not dark enough for me. It comes out more grey instead of black with sparkles. I also bought Stila’s sparkling waterproof liners and in love with them and they are a little cheaper…
I had MUFE and the Stila on my hand for almost two full days.
8 looks really pretty! It’s going on my wish list.
Oooh I love the black purple diamond one, lovely colours!

I think that finish is amazing.
I just picked up #4 (diamond lagoon green) and #13 (mat black) and can’t wait to try them out!

I ordered both of those but waiting for them to arrive! I can’t wait to hear what you think of them
that eyeliner look is so cute especially with the black wing! Definitely need to try that soon!
Thanks Ariana!
