Quick Swatches of Antoinette’s Revolution Cosmetics

In light of the Grand Opening Sale going on, I did some quick swatches of Antoinette’s Revolution Cosmetics.

All products are swatched on Meow’s Light Primer.

I’m really into this sort of packaging. It’s so cute!

The samples I was sent for consideration.

Now, colors!

The colors are really pretty! I haven’t worn them yet so I can’t tell you about the wear, but they were pigmented, not chalky, and I like how they look.

By the way, the jars come shrink wrapped, with a sifter and a sticker on the inside of the sifter. ARC really goes all the way to prevent spillage.

Dusty Rose – A soft dusty rose color, loaded with tons of gold shimmer  (this is a gorgeous soft pink for summer)

Liasons – hot pink with a touch of shimmer and crimson glimmer (really gorgeous fuchsia)

Guillotine – deliciously evil crimson red with a splatter of crimson glitter. (really gorgeous deep velvet red)

Versailles – bronze-based gold (really gorgeous, can’t wait to wear this)

Damask – cool elegant teal, with plenty of shimmer, and a pop of aqua glitter (another gorgeous velvety shade, blue-based teal)

Dupioni – electric bright blue (super bright blue that leans royal)

von Fersen – navy blue with shimmer and glitter (this is a deep navy blue with aqua and blue sparkles, really pretty)

le Chocolat – rich, luxuriously pigmented dark chocolate brown (matte rich chocolate brown with a hint of copper shimmer)

Gangrene – lime green with lime glitter (this is an awesome yellow-green chartreuse! LOVE!)

la Fontaine – light silver with holographic glitter (lovely light metallic silver)

I can’t wait to wear Versailles & Damask together. I also may try le Chocolat and von Fersen, Liasons & Gangrene.

What do you think of Antoinette’s Revolution?

Products sent for consideration. All opinions are my own.

      I know I don’t need another red, I know I don’t need another red, I know I don’t need another red… Maybe if I say it enough I won’t buy Guillotine.

I <3 this company!! I met the owner through a makeup group on FB and have been a fan since she started testing. I just posted my photo dump on my blog . I have the whole collection so far =0) I really do not have a favorite because it seems like every time I use a color from ARC it becomes my favorite! Great swatches!!

      • Phyrra

        Very cool!

I love that packaging!! Such an awesome touch!

Bah, it’s just too bad I’m riding on a no-buy decree… von Fersen is something I want in my arsenal.

      • Phyrra

        It’s really adorable!

Wow, I love the intensity of these shades (and how full the sample baggies look!) Plus the names are really original which is always a bonus! Great swatches (as always!)

    • Kira

von Fersen and Dupioni are the ones that caught my eye. I’ve never actually ordered from an indie company, but I’ve been tempted to try many a time. :)

I’m in love with my Antionette’s Revolution Cosmetics! I recently used Liaisons, Dusty Rose, Ladies in Waiting, and Powdered Wigs together and they looked beautiful!

Your swatches are amazing, Phyrra, and so helpful–I’ve already used them to help me find some great products ;)

      • Phyrra

I’m glad you like them Lizzy!

      Whoa versailles! :D

    • http://LaDandyzette.wordpress.com Kat Grisaille

I want them! Liasons looks gorgeous, as do Damask, Von Fersen, La Fontaine and Versaille. I also like Ladies and waiting and some others!

      Nice, I’m on a no-buy. :P

I love the concept and the shades are gorgeous!

Dupioni and Dusty Rose look beautiful.

    • francesdanger

I too was lucky enough to be a tester for ARC and I can tell you the wear is magnificent. I’ve since purchased about eight colors and there is not a bad one in the bunch. I spoke with Rachael around the time of ARC’s inception and her level of research was astounding. In terms of fallout from the ‘glittercaust’ hers is one of the new companies doing it right.

Love the swatches! And I can confidently say (as a red girl) that everyone needs both Guillotine and Velvet Rose..

      • Phyrra

        Yay! Awesome :)

I’m a huge Marie Antoinette history nerd and went to France in the fall and retraced her steps at Versailles and in Paris that last year she was alive. Soo….some of the names aren’t as cute to me as they might be to others- but it’s novel. I do like Dusty Rose. I’d love to see some collections from them from her actual belongings- matching fabrics and such like peuce :)

      • Phyrra

        That would be cool!

    • http://prettymaking.blogspot.com Mandy

      Liasons & Versailles & Gangrene!!! OooOoh…. *-*

Can’t wait to get paid on Thursday… ;-)

    • http://la3leches.blogspot.com Loopz

      I just placed an order…
But i didn’t read the shop policies first and it appears they only ship on Tuesdays :(
Ugh I probably wont get my stuff until like 2 weeks have passed.

      • http://www.facebook.com/AntoinettesRevC Racheal H.

        Hello dear!

I’m not sure what time you placed your order, but any order placed before 4pm I was able to include in the orders I packed for the week :D

    • Rina

The samples seem pretty generous! How many uses do you think you can get out of them?

      • Phyrra

You know, I honestly have no idea. I never usually use one bag until it’s gone (since I always try to wear different colors every day).

      • http://nikhedonia.wordpress.com Eplefe

The samples are 1g accoring to the listings, so that’s more than generous. Just figured I’d chip in since Phyrra didn’t know. ^_^

    • Gabrielle

I also need Guillotine badly! And free shipping, who can pass that up? :D
