Firefly

Every night like a firefly… Today I used Too Faced’s Firefly, which is described as an antique gold shade, for my look. This was super simple. I applied Too Faced Shadow Insurance for my base. Then I patted on Firefly on the lid and crease. I took a tiny pencil brush and a smidge of MAC Prussian to the outer corner of the lid and crease. Prussian is a deep sea blue, and in the amazing matte2 (squared) formula. MAC needs to make more shades in this formula! I used MAC Vanilla on the browbone and a touch at the inner corner. I lined my upper lash line and lower water line with Too Faced Perfect Black Orchid. I added a splash of color to the lower lash line with MUFE’s Aqua Liner in 4 Diamond Lagoon Green.

To me, Firefly is a shimmery neutral, light, gold shade tinged with yellow. It seems like a versatile shade.

This image was taken after 13 hours of wear, which included me taking walks in the hot, humid Florida heat. Really, I think the eye shadow held up quite admirably.

Face:
Smashbox SPF 15 primer
NARS Powder foundation SPF 12 in Siberia

Cheeks:
tokidoki inferno bronzer in Royal Pride – blush

Lips:
Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick in Havana – blotted

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Too Faced Firefly – lid and crease
MAC Prussian – outer corner of lid and crease
MAC Vanilla – browbone and inner corners of eye
MAC Blackberry – to define brows
Too Faced Perfect Black Orchid – upper lash line and lower water line
Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in 4 Diamond Lagoon Green – lower lash line
Dior Diorshow Lash Primer
Benefit They’re Real Mascara

Wow, this looks amazing- especially after 13 hours! I really like how you did the crease, too. I’m going to have to try it!

Oh, and which Whimsy Beading necklace are you wearing? I really like the color combination.

Holy cow! 13 hours?! I am lucky if I don’t have eyeliner running down the corner of my eye after just a few >.< Looks great after so much wear!
