Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eye Shadow Singles Review & Swatches

Recently Too Faced released their Fall collection, which included all new eye shadows called the Exotic Color Intense Eye Shadow Singles. I purchased four shades: Poison Orchid, Firefly, Nice Stems! and Magic Mushroom.

The Website Claims:
Tempting Textures: This alluring spectrum of extravagant shades includes an ensemble of rock-crystal shimmers, velvety hues and irreverent iridescence.

High Density Intensity: our color-saturated formula guarantees maximum color pay off.

Versatile Application: Shadows blend effortlessly when applied alone or if dramatically layered.

Ingredients:
NICE STEMS!: Mica, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Talc, Zinc Stearate, Kaolin, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Silica, Tin Oxide, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77499), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Ferric Ferrocyanide (CI 77510), Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140).

Price:
$18 for 0.06 oz

Shade Descriptions:
Poison Orchid – midnight amethyst
Magic Mushroom – neutral pink shimmer
Firefly – antique gold shimmer
Nice Stems! – golden clover

Does it live up to its claims?
Yes. The packaging for the new shadows is really quite cute. Firefly seems to be a ‘rock-crystal shimmer’, while Poison Orchid is a luxe ‘velvety hue’, and Nice Stems! & Magic Mushroom fall into the ‘irreverent iridescence’ category. I found the four shades I picked out to blend easily. Poison Orchid completely blew me away in terms of color, texture and the effect of the shade on the lid. I guess I’m a little jaded when it comes to shadows these days, but I wasn’t wowed by Nice Stems! though it is a pretty shade. It really reminds me of MAC Juxt, but it just isn’t very vibrant. I do like Firefly, as I think it’s an extremely versatile neutral. Magic Mushroom reminds me of Fyrinnae’s Rapunzel Had Extensions. The colors do last all day on me, with the caveat that I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance. If I don’t use a primer, shadows crease and melt off of me in less than an hour.

Would I purchase again?
Yes. If there’s a shade I like, I’ll definitely nab it. If you can only choose one shade, I highly recommend Poison Orchid. It’s definitely the jewel of the shades I picked up. Overall, I think these are another great addition to the Too Faced line.

Product purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

I just set up Cloudflare, which is supposed to speed it up. I have no idea why it’s so slow right now :( Super frustrated with Hostgator.

I actually was thinking that the colors would all pair up together nicely, green and gold, purple and gold, purple and pink, pink and gold.

Poison Orchid is gorgeous. I also like Firefly. I’ve been a fan of TooFaced for awhile (They make my favorite gloss). Nice Stems reminds me of Astroturf, a shade they released years ago. I’m almost out of it so I may need to snag Juxt.

It’s amazing to me how the deep base shows up, yet doesn’t hide the sparkles.
