Spellbound by Jynx Cosmetics

Quite a while ago, I had the opportunity to check out Spellbound cosmetics. I liked the name of the company, and I really liked the name of the products, as many of the shades are named after gods and goddesses.

Check out the shades that I have swatched for you today.

Shade Descriptions:
Bubble – baby pink with a slight pearl finish
Saffy – darker pink with pink and purple glitter
Tweak – almost iridescent pink
Venus – amazing pink with violet sheen
Aphrodite – a deep, dark pink with gold undertones
Honor – a greyed purple
garnet – deep purple with red and blue glitter
Obsidian – dark blue with a hint of purple glitter
Anubis – blackened purple with red flecks
Wink – a blue-purple pigment packed with pink glitter
Isis – shimmery white
Osiris – yellow green
Dragon Scales – brown with a green shimmer
Cleopatra – black with golden flecks
Phoenix – deep sky blue with white and purple glitter

The shades that I like the best are Venus, Wink, Dragon Scales, Cleopatra, Aphrodite, Osiris and Tweak.

Pricing:
$1 for samples, $3.99 for full size shades.

It looks like they’re also branching out into lip glosses.

Each eye shadow has its own individual ingredients listing on the website. Some shades are vegan, while others are not. Specials are available here.

I liked the quality of the eye shadows and the ones I’ve worn have applied and blended easily. When I swatched the colors, they were all nicely pigmented. while they’re a new company, I’m happy with the products I tried.

What do you think of Spellbound by Jynx Cosmetics?

I’d honestly never heard of this company, but “wink” is pretty. It also has me thinking about Winx Club, though. I really don’t like that show, lol.

      • Phyrra

I’m not sure what Winx club is?

Dragon Scales and Wink look great. Especially Wink. Love purple and blues together. Never heard of this company, but it looks like they make some pretty stuff :)

      • Phyrra

I was looking at their products not long ago, they look tempting! I really wanna try Tweak, Osiris, Dragon Scales, and Phoenix!

Dragon Scales is so lovely :)

I love the look of Dragon Scales! It looks like one of those shadows that can stand alone. And Anubis sounds interesting.

      • Phyrra

It is great for a wash of color on the lid and crease :)

Oh my goodness. I need Dragon Scales and Osiris. And Tweak is so peachy I wanna put it on my cheeks!

      • Phyrra

I bet you could wear Tweak on your cheeks!

They’re pretty shades, but I’m put off by the fact that Dragon Scales is so similar to TKB’s Dragonfly. There are a few other shades that look alike to my eyes as well. :(

      • Phyrra

I think they’re similar but not exact dupes.

      Thank you for posting this!

I’m glad they worked well for you! I have reformulated the base I use since I sent your samples, so that they stand up to heat better (the 100+ days helped a lot!) and have a creamier texture.

Dragon Scales is based off of Dragonfly, but it’s loaded with much more green. I have posted a side by side comparison of the two here, and I’m totally willing to do the same for any other colors! Osiris is also based off of Taurus Orion, I just amped up the gold side a bit.
