I had a blast with makeup today! I played with a ton of colors to create this look and I think it’s awesome. Be warned, this is a picture heavy post. I love doing color like this!
First I started out with Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Then I took an Urban Decay Crease brush and applied Fyrinnae Princess of Darkness widely in the crease and up onto my lower browbone. I used a small ecotools smudge brush with a bit of Sugarpill Dollipop to blend out the upper edge of Princess of Darkness. I used a fluffy ecotools highlighter brush to apply MAC Vellum to the browbone. I then added a bit of MAC Stars & Rockets to the upper crease on top of Dollipop. Then I blended the crease and browbone together. Next I applied Urban Decay Frigid to the outer crease with a fiber optic pointed crease brush. With the Urban Decay crease brush I applied Sugarpill Love + to the inner crease. I then blended again. I applied Fyrinnae Wake Not the Dead to the lid, patting it on. I dabbed a bit of Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy to the center of each lid. After it was ready, I applied more Wake Not the Dead. This color is AMAZING when you wear it.
I used MAC fluidline in Blacktrack to line the upper lash line. For the lower water line and lower lash line I used L’oreal Extreme Carbon Black liquid pencil from the Project Runway collection. I applied Raven’s Prophecy on top of Extreme Carbon Black along the lower lash line, extended out, with a dense, wide smudge brush. With a Medusa’s Makeup smudge brush I applied Vellum to the inner v and inner corners of the eye.
For my lips I started by lining them with Nyx lip pencil in Purple Rain. I took Urban Decay Jilted and applied it with a lip brush over my lips, very thinly. Then I took Morgana Cryptoria Nightshade and darkened the outer 1/3 of my lips, using a lip brush. For the middle 1/3 of my lips I used MAC Show Orchid, also applied and blended with a lip brush. For the center 1/3 of my lips I used MAC Candy Yum Yum, applied and blended with a lip brush. I added a tiny bit of MAC Pervette to the very center of the upper and lower lip but I don’t think you can easily see it in the pictures. I’ve not done this type of lip very often, but I think it looks cool!

Thanks Manda! I had so much fun putting this together.
Gorgeous!!! Absolutely gorgeous.
Once I get acclimated to the new work schedule I’m going to have to try some of these techniques. We don’t wear our makeup styles the same, but we tend to gravitate toward similar shades, and I love seeing your looks!! They give me some ideas to try out on my own (in my own much-less-vivid, sweet tyrannical way
)

Ooh la la! The overall design is very early 90′s goth, but the hot pinks make it modern & interesting.

Thanks VB! I think that what helped when I tried this time was that I put down a base shade of pink, and then applied the 3 shades I wanted to blend.
LOVE it! Bright colors FTW!
Thanks Tara!
