My name is Amy aka LadycrowX, I run The Crow and the Powderpuff and I also have a Youtube channel with tutorials and occasionally giveaways.

I originally started the blog and let it sit around for quite a few months before I actually did anything with it, that is until I got hooked on blogging and now I try to fit it in anywhere I can in my already busy schedule of work, playing video games, and family time. If you visit my blog you can find topics such as reviews, makeup tutorials, swatches, and nails soon (newbie of course)! I’ve been trying to polish my blog up to make for better pictures and looks and add in things as I improve. Also you may catch a random silly post in there somewhere of whatever is currently going on.

Things you may not know about me… I’m 33, although I feel like I should still be in Senior high school/College at points because I always get mistaken for being that young. I guess that is a good thing though (lack of sunlight does that I suppose I should thank all those hours inside playing Final Fantasy when I was a kid)! I’m an anime nerd, video game nerd, Comic nerd, I love fantasy movies, novels basically anything fantasy is down my alley! I’ve always been kind of a loner and I don’t like big crowds of people, I guess that’s one reason I like being online. My favorite color is blue although when it comes to makeup I love pretty much anything that fits into the category of bright, sparkly, or shiny (not in a foundation of course).

I used to be a figure skater, I’d spend hours on end at the ice rink each day practicing… I ended up quitting after 13 years though because I got tired of not having time for much else and the “politics” of it all aka rink moms didn’t like someone new coming along who might have been better so I was held back from certain things by the “committee”.

I’ve only been into makeup since 2008, before I was strictly just a powder and black eyeliner girl and found no need to do much else. I’m really glad I found makeup though as it gives me something fund to do that still allows me to incorporate my artsy side. I enjoy reading blogs also and can sometimes get lost in clicking on all the post each day only to notice it’s been 2-3 hours since I moved lol.

Some of my favorite brands of makeup are Fyrinnae, Glamour Doll Eyes, Sugarpill, and Morgana Cryptoria to name a few, you’ll find more on my blog. I got tired of trying to keep with sub-par LE high end so I have been keeping mostly with Indie as of late.

I’m thankful for my Husband who supports my crazy “hoarding” of makeup, thankful for my job which allows me to hoard makeup, thankful for my family, and thankful to God. I’m also thankful for such a fantastic beauty community, and of course Phyrra for continuing to give me great posts to read about so I can do even more hoarding of the new things she swatches/reviews/or anything she blogs about!
