Follower Appreciation – Anna of Fenua Beauté

Going by the simple name Anna, I’m a 20-year-old German blogger who just recently moved to the East Coast to work and study in Pennsylvania. Fenua Beauté is a colorful ragbag of bright make-up looks, product review and personal thoughts. I take my inspiration from the experiences and memories made whilst living the nomad life of a globetrotter, which let me explore every continent except for Australia.

Once I get interested in something, I make it my passion, which makes me vulnerable when it’s time to let go and move on, but that’s pretty much how I became the person I am right now. I’m a restless musician (violin, piano), singer-songwriter and aspiring amateur photographer madly in love with surfing, oceanic languages, web design and Franz Schubert’s song cycle ‘Winterreise’ (Winter Journey).

I mostly blog about Asian cosmetics or Western high-end brands, though, due to recently moving and now having access to all the brands I couldn’t get before, also American drugstore brands. When I blog about older or perhaps even discontinued products, I try to make my posts as interesting as possible by putting up extravagant product pictures or by combining them with one of my circle lens reviews, which is actually the main focus of my blog: enlarging color contacts imported from Korea or Japan. My favourite brands for FOTDs are Sugarpill Cosmetics, Guerlain and Holika Holika. Skin care-wise, I use nothing but Hei’Poa, imported from Tahiti along with Anna Sui products from Japan.

2011 has been an amazing year for me. I’m thankful for having graduated from school, for temporarily residing in the United States, for the people I got to know thanks to my blog, Twitter and YouTube and of course I’ll always be grateful for my supportive, caring and loving family. Fenua (Tahitian) stands for island, home or even world, my blog is the ultimate escape for those yearning for that certain travel bug twist and colorfulness in their life and the French word for beauty – beauté – delivers this spirit to wherever you are.
