For today’s Beauty Blog Advent Calendar I wanted to show off some new Evil Shades Deviant Lipsticks and a bonus Spectrum Pot. You know I’ve been obsessed with golds, so of course I’m happy to see Power up. Last Dance is a lovely violet-lilac shade, and it’s hard to choose between it and Heartstopper as my favorite, as they’re both awesome. Heartstopper is a metallic hot pink. Jenaveve is a new twist on a classic bombshell red with a touch of golden shimmer. I can see Jenaveve being perfect with an exaggerated cat eye. Think eyes like Natalie Portman from the new Miss Dior commercial.
The spectrum pot is Polaris. It’s a sparkling silver. If you missed out on MAC’s Glitter & Ice paint pot in For Effect, I think this would be a great substitute.
Shade Descriptions:
Last Dance – a sweet, flirty metallic lilac with playful aqua sparkle
Heartstopper – a flirty bold metallic hot pink.
Jenaveve – a warm sultry rosy toned red with a perfect touch of golden shimmer.
Power Up – a light metallic peach/orange with a soft golden sheen.
Polaris – Sparkling silver

I love, love, LOVE LOVE LOVE Evil Shades deviant lips! I adore them! I really like a dryer, stiffer, less-moisturizing formula that’s loaded with pigment, and they really do it for me. I already have most of the more traditional colors (no blue for me, thanks), minus the newer ones. My favorites are Stiletto, Devilista (seriously, those two are my go-to vibrant red lipsticks), Bane, Caged Gypsy, and Fearless (much less scary on the lip than in the tube!). I did find that Sorrow and some of the lighter colors (like Primrose Path and Silk Stockings) tend to go patchy and too light, and Zicke is just kind of strange and too cool-toned for me to wear regularly, but I’m very yellowy-warm complected and more of a NW20-30 in tone and my lips are already farly pigmented, so that’s nothing against Evil Shades, that’s just what my face looks like!
