For today’s Beauty Blog Advent I decided to swatch a bunch of golds. I happen to love golds, and as I mentioned before, I don’t remember when the love happened, but I’m glad it did. I wanted to share some lovely golds with you today. Please note, I accidentally labeled Midnight Cowgirl as Midnight Cowboy. It’s really Midnight Cowgirl. I have just been inundated with always seeing Midnight Cowboy! And uhm, Meow’s color is Santa Honey! *headdesk* I had labeling fail.
Row 1 = UD Midnight Cowgirl – UD El Dorado – MAC All That Glitters – UD Half-Baked
Row 2 = MAC Retrospeck – Givenchy Or Céleste – Fyrinnae Book of the Dead – Meow Santa Honey – MAC Patina

Oooh…Santa Honey….I purchased that solely on your fotd photos. It’s too gorgeous to pass up. And, hey, I have a sample of virtuoso but haven’t tried it yet since it looks a little scary in the jar. Gonna have to try that out today.
Yay I’m glad you like it!
It strikes me as funny that NYX “Pure gold” is the least gold-y color on your hand.
Heheh! I think it looks like honey darkened. I think Two by Four, the dark brown sticks out too.
I keep staring at Book of the Dead. I think I need it.
Thinking the same thing!
You do! I’m not even a big fan of golds, but I got it as my free sample and it is GORGEOUS!
I vote yes!
Yes you do!
I’ve found myself loving gold more and more over the years as well. I used to be a silver/gunmetal kind of person, but gold just seems to flatter my skin tone far better. My fave out of the bunch is definitely Santa Honey…I was wondering how it compared to Goldilux, which I have, but after going through both your swatches, Goldilux seems to be more greeny-gold, and Santa Honey is definitely a deeper, warm, honey-like gold. It’s almost more amber-y. Thank you so much for your swatches!
I love it for eye shadow
So many beautiful golds! I used to be obsessed with golds, but for some reason stopped using them as my collection grew. I need to start reaching for them again! Santa Honey is a stunner :3
My eyeballs keep going right to that “Book of the Dead” color you like so much – I’ve been thinking about getting it too, and now the more I see it, the more I think I have to have it!
