I can’t speak to the wear of the gel lipsticks yet, but I can rave about the lip glosses and the original lipstick formulas. They wear wonderfully on me.

Morgana has released several new shades. One of which is Aisling, which was a shade that Melissa and I sort of created together. She let me name it Aisling is the name of my Kindle2. My Kindle Fire is named Darkwave. I’m happy to say that Melissa has also released several other cool lipsticks named Darkwave, Making Waves, Medusa’s Magic, Fallen Angel and Electric Azalea. So many pretty lippies!

I’m excited that a couple of the lipbalms I loved (Peach Cobbler & Willow) have been made into gel lipsticks rather than disappearing entirely. Also that two long-gone lipsticks that I only have samples of but really wanted full sizes are back – Apple Plum and Clay Bakin’

Which is your favorite?
My first MC order was placed on Black Friday and my second was during this past sale. I hadn’t tried her products before partly because I didn’t get “in to lipstick” until a few months ago, and partly because when people rave about a company, I walk away disappointed. Mass HGs just don’t mesh with me for some reason…ugh.
BUT fears were alleviated with my first batch! Initially everything was crazy cold when I ripped the package open, so some disappointment happened with them being tough to apply. However as soon as things warmed up it was love. Sweet, sweet angry love. Now I know where extra cash is going….bugger.
The gel lipsticks are absolutely amazeballs. I recently purchased a matte lip pencil by Nars, and love it. However, eating or drinking made it smear, smudge, and fade away unevenly in a sloppy hurry (yes, it was applied correctly with no balm or anything on my lips. it just doesn’t hold up to food, moisture, gloss, or balms being applied *on top*). Enter my gel lipstick in Luminous Lava, I had the same fears about it smearing and smudging so every five seconds I was checking it. Pleased to announce that after coffee and several hours of errands (in which I had often sips of water) it still looked perfect. Minimal wear around the inner part of my lips that touched the reusable water bottle mouth bits. Dood, they is awesome and I need moar.
Enjoy your’s and definitely follow MC’s directions on the gel lipstick listing. She’s for serious about the lip smooshing and giving it a moment to “set” before messing about. The only downside is that if you have crackly dry lips like me then it will become uncomfortable around the third hour mark. Good news is you can lightly dab some balm on top and it shouldn’t be a problem.

And you’ve *got* to have a fotd with one of the grey lipsticks. She’s got so many! I doubt I’ll ever wear that color (pfft, said the same thing about red), but it would be interesting to see in action.

I LOVE my Morgana Cryptoria lipglosses. I have to say, when I first got them for some reason I didn’t dig them. I set them aside and came back to them a month later and now pretty much every look I put together I use one. I’ve got three in the mail right now and I’m staking my postman.

I’ve been eyeballing MC for a while from your posts. So finally i took the plunge and placed an order for some lippies this weekend with the sale! I know i ordered aphrodite, which looks so pretty on your swatch, and the new color aisling, plus some others. So i cant wait till they get here so i can see them in person and try them out!

WOW that’s some major haulage!! I’d been eyeing her site for some time, so broke down this weekend and bought a regular lippie, gel, and gloss, to get a feel of all three. I wanted to get a ton! But held back until I see which I prefer.
I got Coraline’s doppelganger gel lipstick, fire sparks gloss and Gilded Cerise lipstick.
It was a sale, I just had to!
Aisling is on my list, it’s a lovely shade! I missed Luminous Lava, I’ll have to add that in to my next order also.

I’ve been a huge fan of her company for a while. However I find the texture of the gel lipsticks kind of odd and off-putting. They are extremely soft with a whipped, mousse-like texture that doesn’t hold together. I followed her directions to apply lightly and tried different variations ( gliding, tapping) but no matter what it goes on in clumps. I have to smooth it out with a fingertip but then it’s amazing. The clumpiness makes it last a lot longer than most moisturizing lipsticks which are slippery. I think the product would make more sense as a pot balm or perhaps she can tweak the formula to make it a little more solid. I don’t want to leave an iffy review on her site because the product is new. I’m also kind of torn because is smoothing something out with a finger really a big deal? I wear tons of things like matte, red lipstick that take way more effort. So it’s not exactly a complaint but I’m hoping she might read this and consider tweaking the formula a little if other people feel the same way.
Really? I’ve found my two gel lipsticks (luminous lava and willow) to just be amazeballs. I love their texture more than any other lipstick I’ve ever used (all across the board, from cheapie wet n’ wild to MAC to YSL, etc…) and have had no issues with application. They just smooth right on like liquid silk with no clumps or patches. My only issue is I refuse to use a lipstick brush so getting perfect “points” on my top lip is a struggle…but that’s my user error.
The lip *balms* on the other hand do cause my to work a little harder for smooth opaque coverage. Granted, the two I have are blues, so you have to be careful anyway. They’re also in slimline tubes like the gel lipsticks – which initially confused me thinking they were all the same thing.
What color are you talking about? Maybe there was something off with that batch. Do you carry it around in your purse or pocket? I can see how it would get a little melty if kept in a warm place, like she mentions on the site. And actually, I wore LL yesterday and did “smoosh” my lips while applying and didn’t have a problem. Seems like I can’t help myself but as long as I “smoosh” while applying there isn’t an issue with coverage. Just curious, since this is the first time I’ve read a negative about the gel lipsticks.
I have like 8+ of the gel formula lipsticks and I find it is only a couple of them that I have application problems with, meaning I have to end up smoothing them with my pinky. I don’t know why but these two go on a little flaky no matter what the condition of my lips. No matter, I think it is something to do with the pigments used on these particular ones. After smoothing they wear as amazingly well as the others so it is a small annoyance, and I just realize I will probably get one of these once in awhile, but overall they are amazing,
Also Atlantis is much more solid that Athena so it might depend on the shade. Maybe the colors with large glitter particles have to be softer.
I have Atlantis and Athena. Lipsticks are stored in a cool dry place. Have followed all of the owner’s instructions. I’m a visual artist and have a light hand. I’m not the only person with the opinion that these are just a tad too soft. I’ve seen the same commentary from other users including these.:

Unlike these two people I don’t live in a warm climate. I’m in New York and it’s snowing. Again, I’m not sure if smoothing a product out with a fingertip is a huge issue for me. The gooey texture seems to make these last a lot longer. I got about 4 hours out of Athena while drinking tea which is great for a moisturizing lipstick. Athena has beautiful, large glitter chunks that would probably feel like broken glass in a hard lipstick. I own other products that don’t go straight from the tube well. I’m a big fan of Julie Hewett’s matte red lipsticks and they are completely impossible to apply from the tube. They are double pigmented, thick and have zero slip. There is no way to apply them except with a lip brush. But the texture of the product means they wear for about 6 hours. So the pro ( long wear) outweighs the con ( can’t be applied straight from the tube). The gel lipsticks are new so IMO she should just check consumer feedback to see how many people feel the product is a wee bit too soft and if so do those people think the pros outweigh the con. If enough people feel this way she might want to tweak the formula a little bit to make the product a little harder. If most people like the softness then majority should rule.
I’ve only worn Aphrodite so far. I applied it with a lip brush and didn’t have a problem with it.

I definitely need to pick up Lady Grey, its too pretty! I was wondering though if anyone could give me advice about the lip glosses, I bought two and I was really excited, but they separate in their tubes and even after mixing them the consistency isn’t like a gloss at all, they just sort of slide off my lips and onto my teeth, I love the colors I just don’t know how to make em’ work.
