Green Parrot Tutorial

Here’s the Green Parrot Look Tutorial. I need to find a new video editing software. The new version of Windows Movie Maker makes my transitions so awkward.

Please let me know what you think of the video tutorial. If you like it, consider subscribing to my youtube channel.

I’m going to ask questions as I watch, hope you don’t mind ;) (Gosh I sound like such a noob).

    1. Brushes confuse me. How can you tell them apart and know what they are for (ok some are obvious).
    2. The MAC fix +….is this equivalent to using water to help liquify the shadow into a liner, or is it more like Pixie Epoxy to reduce fallout? Or….?
    3. How do you know if you have a hooded eye?

Ok I think that’s it. LOVE the supertitles…..Love Phaedra :) Great video, you are such a pro!!

      No problem :)

      1. In my experience:
longer, looser bristles are good for a sheer wash of color, or blending.
shorter, denser bristles are good for a lid brush
very short, very dense, stiff bristles are good for lower lash line
I really like the Real Technique brushes because they tell you what their recommended usage is on the handle.

      2. MAC Fix + is kind of like using water or Pixie Epoxy. I love my PE, but I’ve been using Fix+ because i can just spritz the brush. Different application method but both work well.

      3. If your eyes are open, can you see your crease? When I’m looking straight ahead and my eyes are open, you can’t really see my crease, you see my browbone. You can barely see my lid color. For eyes where you can see the crease, think like Blix. She’s got gorgeous eyes.

Let me know if this helps? And I’m not a pro! I’m still learning :) I need to find a new video editing software.

Always so informative!! I love the subtitles too, particularly the “Phaedra finds this part boring!” She’s an adorable costar!

    Phyrra,
I love these colors (have been very much wanting to try Sugarpill myself but have to save up some money!) and you are so cute in your video! You’ve done a great job and I have to say the colors suit you nicely.

I just had a go with lime green/red last night and just posted this morning. I think it came out pretty well. I have to say putting the first dab of color on made me nervous!

By the way, I love your “assistant” in the background. What a love!

    Have a great day!
