If you add the word iridescent in front of something, chances are I’m going to want it. When I first saw the new Make Up For Ever La Bohème Rouge Artist Natural lipsticks and read their descriptions, I wanted them so I immediately snagged them once they went up on Sephora.

Bohème – iridesent peach beige
Folk – iridescent red coral
My lips are in awful shape currently, please excuse them. Need more lip balm!
Does it live up to its claims?
Yes. It claims to be a creamy hydrating formula that gives a colorful yet transparent finish. Bohème is very sheer, though I think if I use a nude or peach lip liner under it, it will look better. Folk is more pigmented and I really like how it looks on my lips. My guess is, because the name has ‘Natural’ in it, and the lipsticks are part of a spring collection, the colors are supposed to be sheer. The lipsticks were very moisturizing on my lips.
Would I purchase again?
Yes. I’m a sucker for iridescence. I also like coral and peach. These are my first Make Up For Ever lipsticks and I do like the formula.
What do you think of these lipsticks? Do you like the shades? How do you feel about iridescence?
Product purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

I like iridescence during the warm months. I can’t wear coral though, it makes my skin look green. There are a lot of shades that fall in that category. :/ booo. I pick lipsticks that are neutral or not too far from it, even if that means a neutral red.
Nothing wrong with a neutral red They can be hot.
These look great! Love the half-half lip swatch!
Yay swatches!! <3 thanks for these! If you like reds try their moulin rouge I love it.
oh here’s a swatch of the moulin rouge
Sorry… apparently I don’t know how post pics!
Thank for the review Phyrra, I’ve been wanting Folk and you just sealed the deal!

Ummmmm….I’m very confused by the ingredients of the first one. It seems to be a list of nothing but colorants….?? I didn’t expect to like these just looking at them in the tube, but they really are gorgeous once applied. Both are beautiful colors.
Love the outside of the tubes as well!
