Allu Ultimate Skin Therapy Skincare Review

I did this review a little different than normal, mainly because I’m months behind with my reviewing. I apologize that this is so late. On the upside, it did allow me to test this thoroughly. Late last year I received a jar of Allu Ultimate Skin Therapy anti-aging moisturizer to try out and review if I liked it. I held off a bit on reviewing it, because I wanted to finish up the Sephora 100 Point Perk jar of Algenist anti-aging moisturizer.

The Website Claims:
The royal Egyptian ruling class – legendary beauties like Nefertiti and Cleopatra – were world-renowned for beautiful, soft skin. Now we know why.
Hidden on the reverse side of a 4000-year old papyrus was the fountain of youth that so eluded the Spaniard Conquistador, Ponce de Leon. The “Recipe for Transforming an Old Man into a Youth” was written by Egyptian doctor and mysticist, Imhotep, to help aging Pharaohs transition into Gods and Goddesses. Thousands of years later, the Papyrus was discovered by famous explorer and antiquities expert, Edwin Smith.

The clinical study showed:
Increased skin hydration and moisturization: 100%
Reduction of age spots/skin discoloration: 75%
Decrease in fine lines and wrinkles: 87%
Improved skin tone: 94%
Smoother skin texture: 94%

Ingredients:
Included Ingredients: Bitter almonds, grape seed extract, green tea, white lotus, neroli, beta arbutin, Vitamins A, C and E, Collagen

Price:
$89 for 1.6 oz
$45 for .7 oz travel size

Does it live up to its claims?
Mostly. I definitely feel it increased my skin’s moisture. I feel the tone and texture of my skin looked better after using it. I didn’t notice a decrease in fine lines or wrinkles, nor did I notice a reduction in skin discoloration.

As mentioned in the video, I used the Algenist anti-aging moisturizer for a month before using the Allu moisturizer. I really loved the results from using the Algenist but I hated the price. I then used the Allu moisturizer for a month. I was extremely happy with my skin after using it. I felt like the way my skin felt, I guess the texture, was improved.

I really liked the scent. I know, I know, I even said neroli twice in the video. I love sweet! I also got the scent of bananas or banana candy or something, too. Whatever else is in there made Phaedra go crazy because any time I would use it she’d try to lick it off my face. Also, the scent didn’t irritate my skin. Sometimes scents/oils irritate me and turn me red. Not in this case.

Also, I don’t know if it’s just me or if everyone feels this, but certain anti-aging products, when I use them I feel like a… maybe a bubbling? or something on my skin. It’s almost like a tingling, but it’s not painful at all. It’s the feeling I equate with good anti-aging products.

Would I purchase?
Maybe. Right now, it’s out of my budget. If it were on sale, yes. I definitely liked it and I liked the results with my skin.

I did a little poking around and I found out that you can receive a free 14 day trial for only the cost of shipping. So if you’re interested in seeing how Allu works for you, this is a great way to give it a try.

Do you feel a tingling/bubbling sensation on your face when you use anti-aging products? What are your favorite anti-aging products? Have you tried Allu Ultimate Skin Therapy skincare?

Product sent for consideration. All opinions are my own.

Just wanted to point out that the free trial will eventually bill them if they don’t cancel. I imagine other people know about offers like this, but just for anyone like me who was like, what? Free stuff? Hehe. :)

Thanks for pointing that out! I’d missed it!

I wish very much I could find a great skin care line or product that wasn’t incredibly expensive. Of course, I know that what you pay for is what you get, so more than likely if I want results I’ll have to pay to get them.

      • Phyrra

There are some good products out there that aren’t awful in price, but it does seem to take a lot of personal trial and error!

These products are channeling Cleopatra and I love it… must look into them more~!

      • Phyrra

        Glad you like them Stacie!

Anti aging stuff is way expensive for me.. and I hate how some brands market themselves sometimes. Like in Gabrielle’s comment.. if some people don’t read the small print they’ll find themselves in hell trying to cancel their memberships or whatever. Let’s just hope that this brand won’t give people the runaround…

      • Phyrra

        I do like this brand’s marketing :)

Looks interesting but I think I will stick with what I have at the moment.

Shoot me, but as I was watching you I kept getting distracted by Phaedra’s ears! So fuzzy and floppy.

      • Phyrra

Her ears are so cute right now.
