Girl on Fire – Look & Video Tutorial

I created this look for Evil Shades. It’s a Hunger Games inspired look. I wanted a vivid coral-orange look, and I certainly got it! I ended up doing this look twice, and recording the video for it the second time. So some of the images are from the first look and some the second.

Luminess Air Satin foundation in Porcelain (airbrush)
Silk Naturals Oil Control Blur finishing powder

Evil Shades Commercialism – highlight
Evil Shades Bronze Skies – contour
Evil Shades Atomic – blush

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Evil Shades Faerie Kisses – lid, blended up to crease
Evil Shades Atomic – haloed around eye, upper crease and lower lash line
Evil Shades Nightshade (with MAC Fix+) – applied as liner to upper and lower lash line
Evil Shades Commercialism – highlight on browbone and inner corners of eye
MAC Blackberry – to define brows
Smashbox Lash Primer
Milani Runway Lashes Mascara

Evil Shades Heartstopper – applied and blotted
Evil Shades Power Up – layered on top of Heartstopper, lightly

I love this look! I love wearing bright red/pink/orange eyeshadows but only when I’m feeling brave :) Phaedra is so cute, lying there patiently, my dog goes berserk when she hears my voice without another person in the room (like when I’m on the phone) so there’s no way she’d be patient enough to sit through me talking and doing my makeup!

      • Phyrra

Aww thanks. Yeah Phaedra loves to hang out :)

    • Tiana

This is awesome! What are you wearing on your lips? So pretty.

      • Phyrra

Oops! I just added it. I put on Evil shades Hearstopper, then Evil Shades Power Up on top of that.

Oh I would hire you as my daily makeup artist! This is a hot look, I don’t have any Evil Shades products, looks like I need to get on the train.

      • Phyrra

I wish I could do your makeup :) I’m finally more confident about doing it on others.

You are the Queen of Blend. :) I like the purple color for the liner and how it sets it all off.

      • Phyrra

Thank you Kimberly! I always feel like I need to blend more! I never used to blend enough!

I love it! I’ll be doing a special look for Saturday, when I’m going to see the movie. I’ll be using bright yellow/orange/red/purple and try and do a flame eye look. Some coal-black eyeliner as an homage to District 12 main export.

        Thanks Daena!
