Prim Reaper – a Hunger Games Look inspired by Effie

I saw the movie Hunger Games last night and I really enjoyed it. I need to read the books. I know just about Everyone has loved the movie. There are so many collections that have been released about it! The world was quite inspiring, especially the Capitol. So without further ado…

So I have this corset that is probably awesome for the look, but it’s been forever since I wore it, and it’s way too big on me now. Still, it’s sparkly and you can see the top of it, just barely.

UD Walk of Shame – on browbone, blended downwards and inner corners of eye and under lower lid
UD Asphyxia – lid and crease, as a wash
UD Fishnet – crease
UD Junkshow – crease, on top of Fishnet, with a bit of MAC Fix +
UD Omen – crease, on top of Junkshow
UD Gravity – lid, later with a bit of MAC Fix +
UD Radium (with MAC Fix +) – lower lash line
UD Haight – lower lid, under Radium
UD Tainted – browbone
MUFE Aqua Liner in Diamond Black Purple – upper lash line
UD 24/7 liner in Binge – lower water line
Milani Runway Lashes Mascara
UD 24/7 liner in Asphyxia – brows

tarte illuminating serum
Mirabella liquid foundation in 1N – t-zone
Silk Naturals Untinted Oil Control Blur finishing powder

UD Asphyxia – blush
tarte illuminator – highlight

Fyrinnae lip lustre in Narwhal Nuzzles
Venomous Cosmetics lip poison in Dragonfly – center of upper and lower lips

Anyway, after seeing the gorgeous visuals in the Capital, this is what I came up with. I really like the wig, since it’s got curls and length :)

What do you think? Have you seen Hunger Games yet?

Thanks so much! I’m not sure about the books, because I’ve been told the movie did a better job of portraying Katniss than the books. But I will try it :)

I definitely recommend reading the books. So far I’ve heard good things about the movie, but I wasn’t planning on seeing it either way.

I saw this was your new pic on facebook and as soon as I saw it I went “Effie!!”. You definitely pulled that off. I would also like to echo the recs for reading the books. The movie was decent but the books are far richer and some of the backstory and emotional connection isn’t there for those who only have watched the movie. You’d blow through the books in a heartbeat – they’re really easy, smooth and engaging reading.

      • Phyrra

        Oh thank you!

You really went all out for this! Love it :D

      • Phyrra

Thanks Heather! I was so inspired after seeing the movie.
