Shenanigans!

Yesterday I wore one of the new Fyrinnae shades, Shenanigans. It’s an awesome dark gleaming gold. To do something different, I went a bit tropical and paired it up with Ricky’s NYC Sherbert and a splash of Ricky’s NYC Stoplight Green. Shenanigans really does have awesome rainbow sparkles in it. It’s a lot of fun.

If you have bloggers that you can becomes friends with and meet up with face to face I highly recommend it. It’s nice to spend time with people who share your passions. I met up with Judikins and Genia for lunch, makeup talk, and trips to Ulta and Sally’s. Ray came along and we went to Mellow Mushroom for lunch. I had a really good time chatting and later shopping. I picked up a few necessities from Ulta (nail files, Real Techniques eye shadow brush). From Sally’s I picked up some Manic Panic (Atomic Turquoise and Ultra Violet), some China Glaze nail polish (Pool Party  – hot 80s pink – and Sun Worshipper -ultra bright yellow-based orange), some orange sticks etc. It was fun to geek out about makeup and be able to make recommendations on products.

      • Phyrra

I need to swatch the new shades. They’re all awesome!

    • Tracy

Love the gold…I may need to get this one!!! It looks great paired with the peach. Your hair looks cute too with the added color!!!

      • Phyrra

        Thanks Tracy!

    • Maggie

That’s a really pretty gold! Might have to pick that one up next time I place a Fyrinnae order. Also, what dye did you use for the teal-ish part of your hair? It’s a great color!

      • Phyrra

I usually use Jerome Russel Punky Color in Turquoise or Manic Panic Atomic Turqouise ;)

Your hair looks great! Did you bleach your fringe a bit before applying the teal? It’s a nice subtle effect, and I just love the combo of purple and greenish hues. Nice eyelook too, and the lipcolor suits it perfectly :)

      • Phyrra

        Yay thanks, yes :)

I loved that shenanigans color but I really really liked the Sherbert! I forgot to ask you what color that was! I’m excited to get the lash conditioner you got, have you started using it yet?

      • Phyrra

Yes, but i keep forgetting to use it religiously! I do it 2 nights in a row and then forget >.<

      • Phyrra

        Thanks Lillian!

I agree with everyone the gold color is awesome. I think my favorite is Sherbert. It works so well together on you and the sherbert is a perfect spring/summery color. The Illamasqua gloss is intense too! :D

      • Phyrra

        Aww thank you! *hug*

    • Jean

I’m loving your new trend of color on the lashline, and a wider line. You’ve inspired me with your new looks – I’m doing it now! No fear! And I really REALLY like this color combo – wouldn’t have thought of it (but that’s one of the reasons I follow your blog – to find new color pairings)!!

      • Phyrra

        Aww thank you Jean!

You added blue and green to your hair!! How long has that been there?? Either way, I love it!

      • Phyrra

        Thank you Mandy! <3

      • Phyrra

        Aww thank you Lisa!

I love this unique color combo! Very pretty :)

      • Phyrra

Thanks Heather! I wasn’t sure it would work, but I like it :)

Gorgeous look! I also love your headband. I wish I could wear them, they always get in the way of my glasses and annoy me endlessly, lol.

      • Phyrra

I don’t have a headband on? I have on a clip on barette star :)

So pretty — the peach and gold really bring out your eye color. I cannot wait to try turquoise hair (also MP Turquoise) but I think it’ll be a while for me b/c this purple I have is not budging. Good thing I love purple!

      • Phyrra

Yay! Sounds like an awesome purple!

That looks so amazing on you! I was so excited to go to Sally’s and buy my first crazy color… now I’m contemplating adding a few more bleached streaks and adding more color! I’m ruby red at the moment, but I love so much color. It’s so much fun, I can’t believe I waited almost 40 years to do this!

      • Phyrra

Thank you Laynie! I’m so glad you like doing color, too!
