Silk Naturals has released their Spring 2012 collection! Yay! I’ve been watching the site for this to come out. Karen always does great collections.
First new product is Equalizer – Green Tinted Face Powder. Vegan and Gluten free.
Equalizer is sort of a hybrid product…it functions as a finishing powder but has just a hint of coverage. It helps balance out redness, and leaves a gorgeous airbrushed finish. You can use it alone or layered with foundation.
Ingredients: Mica, zinc oxide, boron nitride, silica, titanium dioxide, chromium oxide green, iron oxides, manganese violet
Samples are 1/4 teaspoon in a 5 gram jar. Full size is 1 tablespoon in a 30 gram jar.
$9.95 for full size, .99 cents for sample.
Glimmers – $4 for a 5 gram jar. Vegan & gluten free.
Hi-Res is a raspberry red with lots of deeper red glimmers.
Wild Child is a bright orange with lots and lots of sparkles.
Rattle is essentially a “lime yellow” tone- with lots and lots of glimmer.
Trouble Maker is a vibrant tropical lime green with lots and lots of glimmer.
Ruffian is a stunning blue with lots and lots of glimmers.
Kick is a bright purple with lots and lots of purple and blue glimmers.
I want to play with these colors so bad! I love the rainbow! So gorgeous. Also, it’s awesome that all of these colors are vegan.
Spring Soft Shades – $4 for a 5 gram jar. Vegan & gluten free.
Calm is a pale pale blue with velvet matte finish.
Driftwood is a medium deep ashy brown color with a Mattelight finish.
Flourish is a sheer pale gold glimmer.
Giggle is a really cute light silky peach Mattelight with small green twinkles.
Kind is gorgeous light warmish taupe with a smidge of coppery highlights.
Linen is a pale yellowish cream shade with a subtle shine that brings a special gleam to your eyes while still being refined.
Serene is a pale lavender with pale golden highlights and just enough shine to catch the light when worn over Stick ‘Em Primer.
Sprout is a pale pale gold that somehow looks a little bit on the green side and a MatteLight texture.
Whimsy is a bit of an odd one…the base is actually a green shimmer and to that we’ve added a lot of lavender highlights. Somehow it came together to make a wonderfully interesting grey that pops out with lovely highlights when you wear it over primer.
I think I’m most interested in playing with Giggle, Calm, Serene, Whimsy and Sprout in this set.
Lip Products $4.50 – 44.99. Vegan & Gluten Free.
Enthrall is shimmery- it has a pink base with flecks of red and gold.
Flaunt is a bright sheer warm red bordering just on the edge of coral.
Grenache is a sheer cool red tone with a hint purple and dash of shimmer.
Hey Baby is a sheer nude tan lip gloss with a creamy smooth texture, and a light cocoa butter scent.
Joy is a gorgeous creamy mid-tone coral. It’s a bit lighter and more opaque (although still on the sheerish side) than Flaunt, and deeper than Twirl.
Playful is a creamy light lavender with a hint of barely noticeable shimmer.
Sweet Pea is a light creamy bubble gum pink.
Swing has a base of sheer plummy pink with a fair bit of aqua shimmers to make your teeth look a little whiter.
Twirl is a creamy peach coral shade with just a tiny little bit of shimmer added to the creamy finish.
I love how Twirl, Swing, Joy, Grenache and Flaunt look.
I think the cream blush, Panache, would be perfect with many of these shades!
I love that Silk Naturals products are cruelty free. Most, if not all, of their products are vegan, too. If you’d like to learn more about Karen and Silk Naturals, check out my Independent Spotlight Interview with her!
I think this is a lovely Spring collection from SN. I’m most excited by the rainbow colors, but I think this collection has a lot to offer if you like brights or if you like soft shades.
What do you think of the new Spring 2012 SN collection? See anything you want?

I’m plotting my order from the spring collection. I’m planning on getting several of the mattelight shadows and probably Swing. I love the rainbow colors, but I know I wouldn’t wear them, so I have to resist buying them.
I can’t wait to try the mattelight, they look like a nice finish!
Ffffff I knew clicking back here was probably going to end badly ;D I love the glimmers because I can’t help myself when I see rainbow anything. Grenache and Flaunt look really pretty too, though I’m not sure how well they’d work on me; my lips are not my best feature. Twirl is much more my speed in terms of things I’d be likely to wear
Twirl looks awesome! You should also check out Panache.
Kick looks amazing!!! I’m always on the quest for the perfect purple!
It does look gorgeous
Oh my gosh, I am dying over those rainbow shadows! I have never tried Silk Naturals before but the pictures are definitely enticing.
You should definitely give them a try Mandy!
OMFG those glimmers! *grabby hands*
I know right? They’re awesome!
