That’s It Fruit Bar – Apple + Cherry – Review

Recently I was looking for a new healthy snack bar option and a friend mentioned the brand That’s It fruit bars. I looked them up on Amazon, and decided why not! I purchased a box of 12 Apple + Cherry bars for $20.99 ($1.75 a bar plus free shipping. I <3 my Amazon Prime).

I wanted a snack that was around 100 calories, tasty and healthy. I figured I always need more fruit and vegetables in my diet, so this would be a great way to incorporate more. I picked Apple + Cherry because I LOVE LOVE LOVE cherries and if I was only going to like one flavor, it would probably be this one.

Each bar is made up of one whole apple and 10 cherries with the skins left on for their nutritional value and the pits/seeds removed. There are no preservatives, no sugar added, no fat, nothing bad in them! Additionally, they’re gluten free and vegan.

The website says:
Apple + Cherry: The Power of Red! With high levels of antioxidants and minerals, cherries are a great source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Calcium and Iron. High Fiber (3g) keeps you feeling full longer. Only 100 Calories, 2 Ingredients and 0 Fat! No Preservatives and No Sugar Added.

I know it looks a little odd, but it is so tasty! To me, it’s like if you combined a Fruit Roll-up with the texture of raisins or dates. It’s sweet, but not cloying. It’s a little tart, too. It’s slightly sticky on the fingertips.

If you need to have convenient snack bars to keep in your purse or around the kitchen to prevent you from eating less healthy snacks, up your fruit intake, or want a vegan/gluten free snack, definitely check these out.

Would I purchase again?
Yes! I like the taste and texture. It’s nice for when I want a bar snack. I like keeping one in my purse. I will definitely purchase more, and I may even get adventurous and try the Apple + Pear.

What do you reach for when you want a healthy snack?

Product purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

I love this type of bar but they’re darn expensive over here! Dried cherries are probably my favourite dried fruit, yum yum.

      • Phyrra

They’re really tasty. I figure $1.75 /bar, while expensive, is still way better for me than junk food or candy bars.

These look so yummy and I love that there’s no added sugar. Gotta try ‘em.

      • Phyrra

        Yes definitely!

I keep Clif Mojo bars in my desk at work, car, and purse for those low blood sugar emergencies or when I want an unhealthy snack. It’s like eating a candy bar but I don’t feel as guilty. Are there other flavors for the “That’s It” bar?

      • Phyrra

Yes, there is an Apple + Pear and a Apple + Apricot. I’d like to try them both.

I’m celiac, so I have to keep a strict gluten-free diet, and it can be hard to find things to eat sometimes. I keep fruit leather or a KIND bar stashed in my purse, car, and desk in case I’m hungry and can’t find anything else. I usually buy the Fruit To Go brand of fruit leathers, and they have a line of fruit and veggie bars and bites that are good as well. The fruit and veggie bites are like little fruit snacks, and are great for road trips.

      • Phyrra

Oooh! I’ll have to check out the fruit and veggie bites. Yeah, having celiac or any other food allergy can make it hard to find interesting/fun/tasty things.

Very cool! This sounds like a good snack for my kiddos during the day.

        Definitely Dez!

Oh wow, these look so good!
Here lately I have been loving Greek yogurt. I’ve been trying to watch what I eat (I really need to drop some lb’s) and honestly, I trust processed foods less and less. Another yummy snack/ meal I’ve been fixing alot is sliced tomato, avocado, and mozzarella pearls with salt & pepper and alittle olive oil. Yum!

      • Phyrra

        Oooh that sounds good!

I love bars/strips made of just fruit. They are so good for you! I love to go to our Trader Joe’s and pick up fruit strips for $0.50-0.60 each :-)

        Yay! Good deal!
