Quickie – Geek Chic Cosmetics

This is another set of quickie swatches. They’re three pretty colors that I purchased from Geek Chic Cosmetics and the swatches were lost in the void of my ‘to process’ folder.

The Pointy End – “I’ve already killed one fat boy. I bet you’re a liar, but I’m not. I’m good at killing fat boys. I like killing fat boys.” A taupe with a real edge to it, The Pointy End is your graduation from practice neutrals. Pearlescent and smooth as summer silk, with a sharp silver glint.

Born in Fire – Fire cannot hurt a dragon. Nor can it hurt Daenerys Stormborn, the last of the Targaryen line. The rich, regal violet of the Targaryens with smokey indigo depths. Silky, with a pearlescent sheen and a scattering of glittering ruby embers.

Companion Cube – I followed… well, let you carry me everywhere. We were best friends. Then you incinerated me, just because SHE told you to. But it’s ok, I’m all you have now. We’ll be together forever… smelling like incinerator. Companion Cube is a bright and bold soft hot pink. It has tons of silver sparkle and has a shimmer finish.

Price:
$4.99 for eyeshadow
$3.49 for solid perfume

As usual, the Geek Chic Cosmetics Shadows are lovely. If you’re a taupe fan, you NEED The Pointy End. It’s a versatile color! Also, while you’re at GCC, check out the Storybook Love Collection. Wuv, Twue Wuv and Prepare to Die are awesome. I literally want to spray Wuv, Twue Wuv all over everything. Yum! And Prepare to Die is a GREAT way to wear orange if you’re a little skittish of the hue.

As always, Geek Chic’s formulas are cruelty-free, gluten free and vegan.

What’s your favorite Geek Chic product? Are you wearing orange this spring?

Products purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

Taupe! I don’t have any GC stuff but I’m making a list. I want to be able to tell my colors apart in my stash…even if I have next to nothing, but still:s

I’ve always liked orange but I have a feeling every person will be sporting orange lips everywhere this season to the point it looks silly.

Both swatches are beautiful. The second one is very pretty for spring and summer especially.

Yay I’m glad to hear you like it!

I really like The Pointy End, but my favourite shades are Eyes of the Werewolf and Bigger on the Inside. And wow the solid scents are great… I’m in love with Witch of the Wilds and Wuw twue wuw, although I guess Witch is more for winter, but I’ll wear it anytime!

      • Phyrra

Those are both great colors and I LOVE Wuv Twue Wuv, too!

I love Geek Chic, one of my favorite indie companies! I was so excited when they started offering scents, and as always they didn’t disappoint. Wuv, Twue Wuv is AMAZING!!!

Sexy in Suspenders is my fav shadow! But I can tell I would like The Pointy End! Great blog :)

        It’s gorgeous!

I Wuv me some GeekChic! I’d have to say my favorite product of theirs is my beloved Strawberry Shortcake blush (which I won from YOU!), I find myself grabbing it a lot, a couple of times a week at least (considering the amount of makeup I have, that’s a lot lot, lol). Their shadows are wonderful, complex, great texture, pigmented. And yes, I do adore Wuv, Twue Wuv ;-)

I’m glad to hear about their Strawberry Shortcake blush. I need to check it out.

Is it just me, or is there a seemingly endless supply of gorgeous yet unique eyeshadows out there that fall under the category of taupe? *Adds another to wishlist* :) I never would have thought to pair orange and purple together! Awesomeness!
