Since Prom is right around the corner, and MakeupBee is having a Sparkle for Prom look contest, I decided to do a Sparkly Prom look (you can ‘Like‘ my look). I wanted it wearable and pretty.
For my prom, I had dark red hair and I wore a silver prom dress.
For the Eyes:
For the face:
For the lips:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Pure Nude – applied with MAC Fix+ to lid, applied dry to crease and browbone
Illamasqua Heroine – crease, outer corner of lid, lower lash line
Makeup Geek Galaxy – a tiny bit to deepen outer crease
BftE Cosmetics Glistening – browbone and inner corners of eye
Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in 13 Matte Black – upper and lower lash line
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Midnight Cowboy – lower waterline
MAC Blackberry – to define brows
Smashbox Lash Primer
Milani Runway Lashes Mascara
Mirabella Skin Tint Creme in 1N – t-zone, blended out
NARS Chantilly concealer
Silk Naturals Untinted Oil Control Blur Finishing Powder
Nyx Taupe – blush
tokidoki Royal Pride bronzer – blush
Urban Decay Moonshine – highlight
NARS Velvet Lip Gloss Pencil in New Lover
I think if you’re a redhead, you’d look great in a deep purple, vibrant cobalt, silver or black dress.
What do you think of my sparkly prom look? Do you like it?
Some products purchased by me. Some products sent for consideration. All opinions are my own.

I LOVE THAT LID COLOR! Disappointed though, I was hoping it was indie lol :c
I have a very large makeup collection (as I’m sure you can imagine) and I’m still trying to see if I have anything similar, and so far, not really. It’s a very pretty color, I thought I’d have something like it, and nothing seems to have that cream with the standout gold when applied with MAC Fix + but, I will still continue to look. It’s such a gorgeous shade
This is absolutely gorgeous – I need to recreate this look, or something close to it using what I have! I love it so, so much. I’m glad you have such detailed instructions. Aaaah so PRETTY!
You might actually be able to do it with a light creamy beige eyeshadow, uhm, BftE Very Vanilla, and then put a sheer glittery / iridescent shade on top, like one of the Meow Christmas colors, Aurora Borealis.
Oooh, Pure Nude is gorgeous. And hey! You and Phaedra are both wearing purple! That jewel-toned purple looks great against you skin tone. I think you’ve linked to the shop before, but where do you buy her collars?
My friend Noel makes her collars. Currently her shop is offline because she moved and got married, etc, but once she’s back up and running I can let you know
This is such a pretty look on you. I love your flushed looking cheeks and the eye look is fabulous! I’m going to try and do something similar with some of my shadows
That red wig is so pretty, and it goes with the neutral eyes perfectly!
Definitely pretty and very wearable for girls who like to keep it kind of natural for prom
Thank you! This is probably all I could have gotten away with in high school
I’ll be passing this on to a reader of mine who asked for some makeup tips/products for prom looks. I didn’t go to my prom (we boycotted it b/c the tickets were too expensive…ha!!) so she’ll love to read this post.
Yay! I’m glad to help Brit! *hug*
Your date is lovely, and her hairstyle looks nice and sophisticated!
This is very pretty:) What fibre optic pointed crease brush do you use? I like fibre optic brushes but I have yet to find ones for applying product to the eyes
Also do you have a video on how to use Mac Fix+ ? I hear of it a alot and can’t figure out if it’s worth getting
I have one that I purchased from Aromaleigh V1 a few years ago.
I don’t have a video on MAC Fix+ but I can make one. I basically just spritz the brush, dip in minerals, and brush the color on
