Since I just received my Fyrinnae Lip Lustres in Isis and Nemesis I received a flood of tweets and emails asking to swatch immediately. I did send a teaser image on my Instagram.

About this unique product:
Fyrinnae’s Lip Lustres are not like lipgloss. This product is a non-sticky lipcolour, leaving moisturising colour on your lips but no goopy tackiness. Most shades are made to be relatively opaque, though some can be applied lightly over lipstick as a highlight or over balm as a sheer tint. They are a rather “dry” product because we pack as much colour into them as possible, but the ingredients are not drying. This means, due to the high concentration of natural butters, they are thinner in a warm environment, thicker when it’s cool. Use care when opening if they have been cold (i.e; in a mailbox in winter). They are filled hot, then the product cools, hardening, the moment the tubes are filled, so they may have the appearance of cracks or tiny lines of air. Lustres have a light vanilla scent.
The above swatches were taken under my daylight bulb with no flash. It’s pouring rain here today. I actually love it.
The above swatches were taken with flash.
I applied a sheer layer of Nemesis on my lips in the above swatches.
Nemesis – rich medium purple, semi-opaque.
This really can be built up. I’m reminded of Fyrinnae Cuddlefish, only on my lips! My natural lipcolor peeks through. It would look awesome if applied solidly with my hair color, too.
I applied a sheer layer of Isis on my lips in the above swatches.
Isis – Isis is a true metallic gold. Not a weak, sheer, or bronzey-shade, this colour is fairly opaque (which of course depends on application, and can be worn semi-sheer or layered over other products) and gives a pure metallic gold finish.
Both colors are gorgeous.
I am obsessed with golds, both in lipsticks, blushes, nail polish and eye shadow. I’m so happy to have Isis! It really gives a gilded effect when applied sheerly.
What do you think of Fyrinnae Isis and Nemesis? I, of course, adore them and recommend them if you like the lip lustres, as they’re quite a unique formula.
Isis purchased by me. Nemesis was a gift. All opinions are my own.

Ooh, they look nice. Not a fan of the lip lustre texture though.
They’re not for everyone but I do adore them
Ahw I WANT THEM!! They look gorgeous, thanks for the swatches!!! :o)
Oh, I was hoping they would be a lot more opaque.
As I stated above, I applied them sheerly on my lips. You can apply them opaque. Look at my hand swatches, which are more opaque.
HOMG, Isis is like Goldilux for your lips! (Yes, that’s my intelligent and articulate contribution to the conversation for today. :D) I love the color of Nemesis built up, too.
GOLD LIPS – AMAZING!
I love the way Isis looks. Would you be willing to do a more opaque swatch of Nemesis?
Ooooh so pretty! I need to make a Fyrinnae order!
These colors are a bit out of my comfort zone but they are GORGEOUS! I love how vibrant the purple is.
I don’t think I could ever pull off Nemesis but Isis is lovely- maybe I could do use it for an ombre lip look.
Holy crap! They look much more wearable once they’re actually on the lips! My first reaction seeing the swatches was ‘totally unlikely I’d ever wear them, or ever could pull them off’. But they’re stunning when applied! I love their eyeshadows, bronzers & highlighters – the best I’ve come across and which I use daily – but I’m not as thrilled with their lip products. I initially bought 6 or so before ever trying them, just based on peoples reviews. But I haven’t been able to get used to the texture of them. They feel like silicone based products, but aren’t. I’m not a fan of silicone in anything. But now seeing these shades I want to buy more, regardless!
I gotta figure out how to wear them so the texture doesn’t bother me! *ggaaaahhhhh*
@Sandra TK Maybe try prepping your lips by 1. exfoliate 2. apply lip balm 3. try a lip primer or lip pencil underneath? I’m not sure of the best suggestions. You can also layer on top of a gloss or lipstick.
@Phyrra It’s not so much that I can’t get them to work. It’s more the very odd texture of them. The ingredients they use are great, I love that about them. Just can’t get past the silicone-type feeling they have. I actually had to double check the labels to make sure there was no silicone. As far as I remember, there’s not. They’re rather oily feeling, the best way I can describe them. I really hope that they come out with an additional formula one day because they really do make great products. Would love to see what kinds of more traditional lipsticks they could come up with. Of course they’d have their own twist to them. I’d be disappointed if they didn’t
