Smoky Pink and Teal Tutorial

I created a Smoky Pink and Teal tutorial with Urban Decay and Makeup Geek. I had a lot of fun doing this look. I don’t always do solid pink on my lid, but I should more often.

How to Achieve the Look:

  1. Prep the eye with Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
  2. Apply Makeup Geek Beaches & Cream from the crease to the browbone.
  3. Apply Urban Decay 24/7 Perversion liner to the outer 1/2 of the upper and lower lash line and smudge it.
  4. Apply Urban Decay Junkshow to the lid and blend it up and outwards into the crease.
  5. Apply Urban Decay 24/7 Woodstock liner to the upper lash line and Urban Decay 24/7 Junkie liner to the lower lash line.
  6. Blend Junkshow on top of Woodstock on the lid.
  7. Apply Makeup Geek Galaxy to the outer crease, blending it onto the outer corner of the lid and the outer corner of the lower lash line.
  8. Line the upper and lower waterlin with Perversion.
  9. Highlight under the brows and at the inner v with Urban Decay Vanilla.
  10. Apply mascara and you’re done!

  • Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Perversion – outer 2/3 of upper and lower lash line smudged, upper and lower waterline
  • Urban Decay Junkshow – lid, blended upwards and outwards into the crease, later on top of Woodstock liner.
  • Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Woodstock – upper lash line
  • Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Junkie – lower lash line on top of Perversion, smudged
  • Makeup Geek Galaxy – outer v, blended inwards
  • Urban Decay Vanilla – inner v and under eyebrows to highlight
  • Milani Runway volumizing Mascara
  • Too Faced Nylon Fibers
  • Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in Espresso

  • Veggie Beauty foundation in Ricepaper
  • NARS Multiple in Orgasm – blush
  • NARS Desire – just a touch
  • NARS Multiple in Luxor – highlight

  • Nyx lip pencil in Purple Rain
  • Evil Shades gloss in FOAD

I absolutely love the FOAD gloss! I also really like how this smoky pink turned out. What do you think about the pinks?

Anastasia brow gel in Espresso is BROW PERFECTION. Final answer!

RiffRaffRanch Thank you! I like both the Espresso and Caramel, but I definitely feel like the Espresso works with me having darker hair right now.

Cool post. Would have never thought to change the color of the liner by placing it first. I am going to experiment with that now! Thank you!

        moniquesawyermua You’re quite welcome!

    • manicuredslayer

THANK YOU for doing these tutorials! The way you do this is fabulous–and you look gorgeous too ;) I swear I’m going to drag out my mirror, makeup and practice, practice, practice, with your tutorials! You always look so professional and lovely.

    • Gabrielle_

I reeeeeeally love this look.  I’m going to poke around in my eyeshadows and see if I can find some at-least-similar dupes for these.  SO gorgeous.

Gabrielle_ Thanks Gabrielle! If you have Fyrinnae Superstar, it would work great in place of Junkshow.

    • Sandy615

I love this look on you! The pink offsets your beautiful eyes. And I love these tutorials. Now I don’t have to look like a clown after applying the bright shades. ;)

Sandy615 I’m so happy to hear it, Sandy :)

    • roxcat

Great tutorial and the foundation shade looks really good on you too.

        cinseven13 Thanks Cin!

    • misfitgirlie

I rarely use the pinks on my lids, either, but I think I have to try this out because I have most of the eye products you used! If/when I do, I will Tweet you a pic.

      • http://www.Phyrra.net/ Phyrra

misfitgirlie For me, I can’t take a bright pink too far in or I look sick. So it helps to have a white or something else to mitigate the pink at the inner corner.

      SO, so pretty!!

        KellyLoganGould Thanks Kelly :)

I love this look. I kind of tried to replicate it because it seems to be bright and would look good behind glasses! and the pink worked! i love it. it is perfect for summer too :)

      • http://www.Phyrra.net/ Phyrra

ItsJustDi I’m so happy to hear it worked well with glasses :)

    • AbbiPemberton

I freaking LOVE this look, I’m so gonna re-create it on myself! Thanks for the post, I don’t see a ton of pink or red eye looks, I think it kinda scares people off but they’re beautiful on the right skin tone and I wear them quite a bit, but not this one…YET :) Luckily I have almost all the colors you used so I’m halfway there already, woot!

      • http://www.Phyrra.net/ Phyrra

AbbiPemberton That’s great :) I hope you love it Abbi!

    • Lisa Brown

Stunning look. You can really wear color. I especially like how you have it in steps. Makes it easy to try your self and follow along.

Lisa Brown I’m happy it helps Lisa :)
