BftE Bayou Potion Tutorial

To celebrate my new hair, I did another look semi-inspired by my new hair. The full post explaining what I did to achieve my color will be up tomorrow morning, but you’ll get to see it in this post.

My allergies are terrible lately. I’m not sure what is in the air, but they’ve been causing my eyes to water like crazy. I used black gel liner on my lower waterline, then UD 24/7 liner in Perversion, then my eyes decided to water non-stop. I could barely snap pictures of my eyes.

How to Achieve the Look:

  1. Prep the eyes with Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
  2. Lightly apply BftE Aquila to the lower browbone and upper crease.
  3. With MAC Fix+, apply BftE Blue Bayou to the outer 3/4 of the lid.
  4. With a fluffy brush, apply BftE Love Potion #9 to the crease and outer corner of the lid.
  5. with a fluffy brush, use BftE Lava Momma to blend out the edge of Love Potion #9 in the upper crease.
  6. Apply BftE Walking on Water to the inner v and lower lid.
  7. Apply Love Potion #9 to the outer lower lid.
  8. Apply Blue Bayou to the lower lid, blending all the colors together.
  9. Line the upper lash line and lower waterline with MAC Blacktrack, then line the lower waterline with Urban Decay 24/7 Perversion liner.
  10. Apply Mascara.
  11. Highlight under the eyebrows and at the inner corner with BftE Glistening.

Love this look…the colors look great on you!!!  Love all of your jewelry too!!!  Where did you get the rings?

Your hair is really awesome, I have been having the itch lately to color my hair an interesting color (for some reason I’m obsessed with the idea of peach hair?). I don’t really think I can though because I work in a professional setting, but I can look at your lovely hair! It’s also a reason why wearing fun makeup looks like this one is important, when you have to keep your hair boring at least you can wear fun makeup because you can wash it off. Love the look!

Ventbench You might be able to pull off a strawberry red that looks similar to peach. Thank you!

You have eyes that are really perfectly shaped for this type of look: A wide enough eyelid, big eyes, and spaced just right. Lucky you!!!

Beautiful! I don’t have Blue Bayou but I want it, it even has a cute name :)

Gorgeous! I have never seen someone who can wear so many different bright and vibrant colored shadows as you. Your hair looks great too :)

I love the bright colors you wear for eye makeup. It is quite versatile and I think it would look great for people like me who wear glasses. I also love the step by step photos.

I received a sample of Blue Bayou with my first BftE order and am kind of mad that I didn’t order it, haha. It is bright, but also pretty darn awesome. I like how this look makes a bright color wearable.

      Hi Phyrra!

I followed you over here from the Vampy Varnish hooded eyelids post! Hooded lids drooping all over everything over here. I’ve pretty much given up on eye makeup. Last year I had an artist friend draw a star next to my eyebrow because Kat Von Dee shows hers off so beautifully. But all it did was draw attention to my saggy eyelids! eeeeeeek!

You really make your eyes pop and the colors are just wonderful! After reading that some women live their lives while holding their eyebrows up I’m relieved to see your gorgeous look with no straining eyebrows (what the heck?)! You’re inspiring me to bust out some shadows and have another go. (for me, this is huge)

Thanks for sharing your gift, Phyrra ♥
