I recently received two nail polishes from Klout perks. Both were from Essie.
For this, I did a lot of layering.
I started with Cult Nails Get it On Base Coat.
I applied one coat of Essie No Place Like Chrome.
I applied butter London Henley Regatta (teal) to some of my nails about 3/4 of the way up.
I applied Finger Paints Movie in the Park to the other nails about 3/4 of the way up.
I applied Essie Stroke of Brilliance in a sweep down the side of the nail and across the tips.
While I knew that Essie had been bought by L’Oreal, I thought they were still cruelty-free (much in the way OPI or the Body Shop are CF though their parent companies are not), but everything that I can find now says that they are not. It’s disappointing.

Oh, really? Bummer. I was under the same impression about Essie.
I really am disappointed by all the companies that now test.
Yes, it is quite disappointing about Essie. I love their polishes but they are on my no-buy list now. There are many other brands that are cruelty-free and compassionate.
Yep. Cult Nails is one China glaze, too.
