Meow Summer Spirits Tutorial

I put together a fun tutorial with colors from the Meow Summer Spirits Collection. You won’t be surprised by my color choices, I’m sure! You really need to see Mojito in person to appreciate how gorgeous it is!

How to achieve this look:

  1. Prep the eye with Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
  2. Pat Caribou Lou on the inner 1/3 of the lid.
  3. Pat Mojito on the middle 1/3 of the lid.
  4. Spritz your brush with MAC Fix+ and apply Mint Julep to the outer 1/3 of the lid.
  5. Apply Teal-tini to the lower crease, blending upwards.
  6. Apply Blue Hawaiian to the upper crease, blending with Teal-tini.
  7. Highlight under the brow with Pina Colada, as well as at the inner corner of the eye.
  8. Line the upper and lower waterline with Urban Decay 24/7 Perversion Liner.
  9. Line the lower lash line with Urban Decay 24/7 Junkie Liner, extending it into a little cat eye and onto the outer corner of the upper lash line.
  10. Do your brows, add some mascara, and you’re done!

One of the things I love the most about your blog, which makes your blog one of my favorite, is the fact that you always do great swatches of make up. Second, I have NEVER seen anyone do eyeshadow as beautifully as you do. I don’t know where you live but I wish you were in New York. I’d love to learn from you firsthand, learning how to apply eye make up, mix and blend colors, the way you do. I would like to see more tutorials on your site with you actually applying the make up and directing us at the same time because although not as good as being here live, it does run a close second. I don’t know what training you have in make up, if you went to beauty school but I consider you partly a make up artist and partly an artist because it takes an artist’s mind to create the beautiful looks you do. And what really annoys me about you is that EVERYTHING looks FABULOUS on you. What’s up with that. In all seriousness, I have great admiration for your talent and would really like to learn more about application and color blending from you. Thank you for bringing some sunshine into my very dull and uneventful life.Dlorikleimanlaw at aol dot com

This reminds me of a “fun, tropical, enjoying drinks of vacation type of summer”…not the “it’s at least 105 and I am miserable even inside with air conditioning and murderous while at work because they won’t turn on the air conditioning” type of summer that I’m experiencing now, haha! Maybe I need to try this look so I can fantasize my way to the first one! ;)
