Today I’ve got a video and written review for you on OCC Strumpet Lip Tar. In my book, it’s the perfect fall lip color! I think it’s flattering on a variety of skintones from dark to light. It looks great on its own, as well as layered underneath a sheer gold lipstick or gold gloss.

The Website Claims:
A high-opacity lipstick concentrate with unprecedented longevity. Flash a fabulous smile and a stunning splash of color with this lip formula that combines the longevity of a lipstick with the breezy application of a gloss. Does it live up to its claims?
Yes! It is very very important to use the TINIEST amount available. When I originally tried lip tars, I tried to apply it like a lip gloss out of the tube. Big mistake! Lots of feathering… coming off on my teeth… a huge mess! Yuck! Now that I know how to apply it, it’s great.

You open the lip tar and squeeze it very gently, to get the smallest bead of product out. I apply that to the bottom lip first with a lip brush, and then work my way outwards around the lip line. I blot my lips together, then work on the top lip. I very sparingly fill in any spots as necessary.

OCC Lip Tars can be worn on their own, or mixed with other lip tars to make unique colors.

Would I purchase again?
Yes! If I ever run out, I will be purchasing another Strumpet. I’ve continued to purchase lip tars now that I’ve got the hang of how to use them and I have quite a collection! I recently brought them to the Cult Nails Deceptive Photoshoot where we played with them. I think they’re a nice product, especially for the price and amount of product that you get. I did take off half a star for the learning curve.
