Today I’ve got a video and written review for you on OCC Strumpet Lip Tar. In my book, it’s the perfect fall lip color! I think it’s flattering on a variety of skintones from dark to light. It looks great on its own, as well as layered underneath a sheer gold lipstick or gold gloss.

$15.00 for .33 oz from OCCMakeup.com
Some of the older shades in discontinued packaging are available for $8 for .27 oz from Suite7Beauty
They will soon be available from Sephora.com for $15 or $16 (not sure which, as Nylon was $16, but elsewhere OCC is $15).
Does it live up to its claims?
Yes! It is very very important to use the TINIEST amount available. When I originally tried lip tars, I tried to apply it like a lip gloss out of the tube. Big mistake! Lots of feathering… coming off on my teeth… a huge mess! Yuck! Now that I know how to apply it, it’s great.
You open the lip tar and squeeze it very gently, to get the smallest bead of product out. I apply that to the bottom lip first with a lip brush, and then work my way outwards around the lip line. I blot my lips together, then work on the top lip. I very sparingly fill in any spots as necessary.
OCC Lip Tars can be worn on their own, or mixed with other lip tars to make unique colors.
Would I purchase again?
Yes! If I ever run out, I will be purchasing another Strumpet. I’ve continued to purchase lip tars now that I’ve got the hang of how to use them and I have quite a collection! I recently brought them to the Cult Nails Deceptive Photoshoot where we played with them. I think they’re a nice product, especially for the price and amount of product that you get. I did take off half a star for the learning curve.
Here’s my video talking about OCC Strumpet. If you like it, don’t forget to give it a thumbs up
OCC is cruelty-free. Product purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

Beautiful! A little on the cool side for me though. =(
Try and swatch it, because I think it is one of those colors that will work with a lot of skintones.
It’s a gorgeous color, definitely perfect for autumn!
It’s a gorgeous color!! Nice raspberry shade :o)
And it looks great on you!
Unless you’ve done this already, I’d love to see a video on how to use the OCC Lip tars. Have you tried doing an ombre lip with them?
I’ll make a video on it soon. I haven’t done it yet
I so desperately want some Lip Tars! I’ve never picked any up but the shades are always gorgeous. This looks so nice on you!
Thank you! you should pick up some of the discontinued packaging ones from Suite7Beauty.
This was the first lip tar I ever purchased and it took me a good 5 or 6 applications to get it right without any bleeding. I was like you and used it as a gloss straight from the tube the first time and I swear my entire face ended up covered in it! Now I know how to apply it properly with a small lip brush love it! It makes a gorgeous stain too if you blot it with a tissue
I feel like this one looks really good on me, but you have to use the teeniest tiniest amount ever!
This color is AMAZE! Thanks for sharing, I’m anxious to try it out!
Yay thanks Alyssa!
I love Lip Tars. That colour is beautiful on you.
Thank you Lillian! What’s your favorite?
Thanks for the application tips (you responded to me in a previous post, as well)…I’ve got to work on not having these feather because I think there is MASSIVE potential!
Yay! I’m glad I could help.
