Halloween is just around the corner, so I figured I needed to get this post out sooner rather than later. Many of you have emailed me and asked me where I buy my wigs. The short answer is ebay. I’m going to share the several sellers that I’ve used on ebay. I’m also going to share a few other places.
The best quality wig seller that I have found on ebay is CosplayWigStore.
The prices are great and the quality is really nice. I’ve ordered two wigs from this place. They arrived fairly fast, considering they were coming from overseas.
The next store that I’ve ordered from is Night Panda.
This is the place that I got my pink wig from.
I would order from this place again. I like the variety and style of wigs. They seem to offer the most customized wigs of any of the places I’ve shopped.
The last place I ordered a wig from was ForestWindows.
I believe I got my Sailor Mercury wig from this place.
I like the wig, but I don’t like the hair texture on this one as much as my others. However, it may just be this type of wig.
I’ve actually had this black wig for about 10 years. I think I bought it online for my Jone the Succubus costume from ebay, but no idea what seller.
There is a wig site that I have not yet purchased from, but I’ve been drooling over, called Gothic Lolita Wigs. They’ve got great reviews online.
Update - I’ve now ordered several wigs from them! They’re great!
There are so many wigs that I’m lemming from this place! SO MANY GORGEOUS WIGS. I want their Empress Turquoise wig soooo bad!
Another place to order wigs from is Amazon. Search for cosplay wig.
I tend to search for cosplay wig, because it brings up better results than just X wig.
Anyway, I hope this will help you in finding the perfect wig for your dream costume!
What are you wearing for Halloween this year? Do you plan to get any wigs?
All products purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

I actually wouldn’t recommend Gothic Lolita Wigs because they buy their wigs wholesale and mark them up. Arda makes great, durable cosplay wigs and Mintymix has really excellent, soft wigs that are fairly similar to GLW. I’ve met the owner of Mintymix and she’s very sweet so I would definitely recommend their products. I haven’t bought wigs from eBay yet but I’ve heard good things about Fantasy Sheep.
ElaineDidier I just looked at the MintyMix and they look like similar wigs to Gothic Lolita and the prices seem comparable. The GLW has more variety though.
I’ve bought multiple wigs from amphigory.com for cosplay. I bought some off ebay that were excellent quality also, but I can’t remember where since it’s been many years. Katie Bair is also one of the best wig stylers imo and she’s got some amazing inspiration on her Site.
m_debster Oh cool!
I bought my wig for my Marceline from Adventure Time costume (for Halloween; my son’s idea) from Gothic Lolita. The price of the wig itself was a little pricey but the shipping was really reasonable for shipping to Hawaii and it came super fast. I LOVE that wig. Its the Rhapsody in Black (http://www.gothiclolitawigs.com/rhapsody-in-black/) wig and its so full and luscious and great quality. Best I have ever bought. If I ever need a wig, I will always check GL first.
Cosplay wig store and forest windows have taken some of their images from FMAnime it looks like….I have a wig from FM anime and it’s lovely. Asian wig stores like FM anime, and most of the ebay sellers are better if you have around a 25cm head circumfrence. Arda wigs and Epic Cosplay (just google search them) are American sellers of wigs that will fit larger heads, but will also fit small heads as well because of the strap in the back. I have one from arda as well and I love it. I’m going to do an info post about wigs at some point.
Really great ideas! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the post! I’ve bought colored extensions from ikickshins on Etsy for the past two Halloweens. My costume this year (I’ve picked it out, but need to order it) isn’t going to need any special hair or cosmetics. Boo! Although, if I don’t like it and/or it doesn’t fit, plans may change

Thank you for sharing, now I know where my Saturday is going to get lost to ;P I’ve always been scared of the upkeep on wigs, is it difficult?
