Pressed Fyrinnae Shadows Are Here!

Fyrinnae has finally released their long-anticipated pressed shadows!

Pressed: Arcane Magic: Steampunk Eye Shadow
his is an antiqued deep copper on black, with a touch of gold sparkle and hues of pink. Move it toward light or change the angle, and it becomes gold to chartreuse, the black base setting off the vivid highlight while still retaining its Victorian-era depth.

Pressed: Arcane Magic: Love Potion Eye Shadow
Love Potion is a medium pink with a highlight of pale silvery-green shimmer (though the overall finish is more satin). Move it closer to light and you get a striking, almost metallic pink-coral.

Pressed: Sleepy Hollow Eye Shadow
Lush deep ocean blue with a flash of sage green as the light hits, and touch of gold sparkle as well.

Pressed: Rapunzel Had Extensions Eye Shadow
Pale warm pink with a stunning brilliant light gold highlight.

Pressed: Woolly Mammoth Eye Shadow
A rich, warm mahogany brown with a slight coppery-gold shimmer.

Pressed: Te Amo Eye Shadow
This shade is a glowing iridescent copper highlight with a transparent base.

Love Potion, Sleepy Hllow and Rapunzel Had Extensions are three shades I love. Te Amo is nice too. I’m excited about Fyrinnae offering a few pressed shades.

Do any of these shades excite you? I’ll be purchasing a few when I can to try them out.

Not crazy about pressed shadows but I have to say that everyone needs Te Amo even if you don’t like neutral colors. It looks like blah in the pan but give a chance and wear it over Pixie Epoxy.

spooki I agree! It is pretty!

Excitement! I prefer pressed shadows on a day to day basis just because of convenience, so I’ll have to check these out. =)

SpiceDropBlog I go back and forth because I just love eyeshadow so much!

I have been lusting after Te Amo for a while, and I think I will go for it to try both the color and the pressed version of Fyrinnae shadows :)

      • http://www.Phyrra.net/ Phyrra

RealForUs7 I have the loose of Te Amo and it’s nice!

        • RealForUs7

Phyrra RealForUs7 If I am not mistaken, I think you did a look with it once that really caught my eye…I love bright colors, but I need to wear more conservative shadows for work.  I love Fyrinnae’s neutrals because they are safe enough for work, but still fun and interesting :)

RealForUs7 Phyrra Yep! I did Te Amo with Sleepy Hollow and Bite Tyrannosaur, I think.

I bought two of them – Rapunzel Had Extensions & Steampunk. I reviewed them on my blog. Short summary = awesome!

      • http://www.Phyrra.net/ Phyrra

Emi at Project Swatch I’d been checking for them to go up all week. I didn’t see them up until today. I can’t believe I missed them! Glad you love them :) I’m so happy to see Love Potion because it’s a favorite of mine.

I have now missed them twice! I’m wearing the loose version of Te Amo today and it’s currently my favourite shadow, I love the peach iridescence over the grey base – it’s a very unusual colour that is also work safe so I’m definitely trying the pressed version! I’m hoping to, at some point, get my hands on Sleepy Hollow, Daemon’s Tail, Wooly Mammoth, Meerkat and now you have me intrigued re: Love Potion!

trumpette  Love Potion is one of my all time favorites because it’s a pretty warm pink :)

I am taking a wait and see attitude.  I’ve tried a few loose shadows in pressed form and to date, I’ve not been impressed.  I think if anyone can do it well, it would be Fyrinnae. I would love pressed Steampunk.  If they pressed Knickers in a Twist or Fire Opal, I would definitely take the plunge.  I am curious how a finicky shadow like Fyrinnae will react to pressing. Will they be easier to apply?  I wonder.

cultoftaupe All great points. I’ve always chalked up sub-par experiences with pressed pigments to my own pressing ineptitude. I haven’t tried a lot of loose pigments though, as I do like the convenience of pressed.

BooBooNinja cultoftaupe I really need to break out my pressing kit!

        • oliviarg098

BooBooNinja cultoftaupe I’m afraid of pressing my pigments and ruining them. I know some don’t press as well as others but I prefer pressed over loose too

      • http://www.Phyrra.net/ Phyrra

cultoftaupe they’ve received positive reviews from the people who got test batches :)

They’re all out of stock! So bummed that I didn’t get to grab any :( Hoping they’ll have some more soon.

      • http://www.Phyrra.net/ Phyrra

dtan0914 I missed Parental Advisory, Immortality and Bitey Tyrannosaur! I didn’t even see half of them because they sold out so quickly.

      • oliviarg098

dtan0914 Sometimes I’ve thought they discontinued certain eyeshadows or lustres when I didn’t see them on the site at all. I think maybe they should mark out of stock more frequently than to remove the page. New customers come in all the time and I’m sure they would miss out on some because they can’t see all that’s there, I did when I first checked them out

I like Te Amo. The name Rapunzel Had Extensions amuses me. I also like Sleepy Hollow, but feel like I have a lot of those types of shades.

    • oliviarg098

I wish all their shadows had a pressed option, I love the versatility of loose pigments but pressed eyeshadows are much more practical and easier to store for me arcanes!!!!
