Silk Naturals Sneak Peek at Fall Colors

Recently I saw that Silk Naturals was offering a sneak peek of their Fall 2012 collection on their site, so I wanted to snag that to show to you! I also picked up a few other items.

The eyeshadows are swatched on Meow Light Primer. As a reminder, I almost always swatch on primer because I always have to wear eyeshadow primer. My oily lids melt eyeshadow off in about 20 minutes without a good primer.

Taken under daylight bulbs, no flash.

Taken with Flash

Agent
clone of MAC Crystal- a light lavender plum with just a hint of pearl.
My Take
It’s a very cool pale lavender, meant for highlighting. I know I have MAC Crystal somewhere, so I will try to swatch the two side by side for you soon.

Agent and Forgery are the double shot Fall 2012 Sneak Preview duo.

Forgery
clone of MAC Mulch- a deep bronzy brown with hints of copper, and a smidge of red/plum to take the edge off the warmth.   The MAC finish is Velvet- in SN terms it’s sort of almost an Eyelight or Mattelight with the flash of copper highlights and nearly matte base.  It’s actually a pretty fun go-to color.
My Take
I don’t have MAC Mulch, but I am a fan of this velvety formula because of the nearly matte base with the glimmers of copper.

You can see that Forgery is a complex brown.

Favorite
Gift with Purchase. No official description that I’m aware of.
My Take
pink-tinged lavender with delicate silver shimmer
I think this is my favorite gift with purchase that I’ve ever gotten from SN! I really like this soft, delicate color.

Gator Gold
a shimmery dark green with distinctive gold undertones.- it’s very similar to MAC’s Sumptuous Olive
My Take
It reminds me a bit of butter London Wallace. I really love this color, especially for fall. It would look great with Forgery.

Maiden
clone of MAC Bare – a medium pigmented, slightly shimmery almost neutral nude pink.
My Take
Ack! I forgot to take a lip swatch for you. This shade is a clone of an old favorite MAC shade of mine, the Slimshine lipstick called Bare. It’s one of those perfect nude pink lip colors on me, perfect if I’m doing an intense smoky eye or something. Silk Naturals had to reformulate this color about a year ago because one of the pigments to make it was discontinued.

So pretty!

What do you think of the Silk Naturals Double Shot Sneak Peek Duo for Fall? Do you like? What do you think about Maiden? Would you wear Gator Gold?

Silk Naturals is cruelty-free. Products purchased by me. All opinions are my own.

I was going to say I thought Forgery and Maiden looked like a match made in heaven. I have yet to try out Silk Naturals, but I think I will need Forgery at the very least.

I was actually kinda bummed that all the stuff I saw for their Fall preview was dupes. I like dupes sometimes, but I love their original stuff more!! Ah well. Silk Naturals still keeps taking over more and more of my beauty routine so I can’t complain!

This post does remind me I really should dig out gator gold one of these days. I picked that up back in my very very first Silk Naturals order a few years ago now, and I’ve never used it!
