Recently I had the opportunity to try out the indie Vi.Be Fragrance Solid Perfumes. Vi.Be stands for Vibrant Beauty. ViBe Fragrance started making scents with body butter and floral extract before settling on solid perfume. The company’s mission is to create inspiring fragrances. They use only 4 ingredients – beeswax, shea butter, Vitamin E oil and parfum.
$18 for 14 g / 0.5 oz.
$7.50 for 4.2 g / 0.15 oz.
Beeswax, Parfum (Fragrance), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Seed Butter, Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
Bright fruity floral blend framed in sparkling oceanic aromas.
Tuberose, Mango, Cucumber, Aquatic Melody, Lime, Pineapple, Heliotrope.
There’s some sort of underlying incense-like quality. I can detect the aqua and the cucumber, along with the flowery scents. I can’t really detect the fruits. It’s a nice softly floral scent. This was actually my favorite of the bunch.
Deep woody aroma for the daring.
Sandalwood, Patchouli, Musk, Amber.
This makes me think of the woods in the morning when things are still covered with dew. It’s a very masculine scent by my standards. I don’t like how it interacts with my body chemistry.
Deep Sensual Sweetness.
Raspberry, Amber, Musk, Lime.
I could smell some raspberry immediately after application, but then all I could smell was musk. Later I could smell more of the raspberry.
Elegant and sophisticated floral oriental.
Rose, Hyacinth, Tuberose, Orange Blossom, Heliotrope.
Again I smell some sort of incense-like quality to start. I smell a bit of rose, and a hint of sweet… maybe the orange blossom. The incense-like quality was overwhelming for me. Eventually the rose really comes out.
These solid fragrances feel great on the skin. They’re very moisturizing.
I really like the fact that they’re made with only 4 ingredients. I do feel like the price is slightly high on the large size. I love the fact that both sizes – small and large – can easily fit into your purse or slip in a pocket.
Overall I wasn’t thrilled with these fragrances. I thought they would be amazing from the way they were described, but they didn’t seem to work very well with my body chemistry. However, I think fragrance is a highly personal thing and if you’re interested in the scents, you should try them out.
Have you tried Vi.Be Fragrance? Do any of these scents interest you?
Products sent for consideration. All opinions are my own.
I wonder if these are blended fragrances or repackaged fragrances?
paintednightsky The owner hand blends them. They’re not repackaged.
I like the idea, the four ingredients and the travel-friendliness. Not sure I love the descriptions of the scents themselves, though.
