Recently Makeup Geek released 6 new shades in their cruelty-free eyeshadow line: Nautica, Boo Berry (just in time for Halloween!), Peach Smoothie, Crème Brulee, Prom Night and Drama Queen. I’ve got swatches and a review for you of them, along with 3 of my favorite MUG shades. All of these swatches are on bare skin. You will see better color payoff if you use primer.
Nautica
A midnight blue shade with shimmery finish
My Take
Midnight, shimmery blue.
Boo Berry
A dark periwinkle blue with soft matte finish
My Take
Dark blue matte
Peacock
Matte deep teal blue
My Take
Blackend deep teal blue (not a new shade, but one of my favorite)
Beaches and Cream
Creamy Matte Natural Beige with Just A Hint of Peach
My Take
Light peachy beige matte (not a new shade, but one of my favorite)
Peach Smoothie
A light peach beige with a soft matte finish
My Take
Midtone peachy beige matte
Crème Brulee
A medium sand color with a soft matte finish
My Take
Caramel beige matte
Prom Night
A pale purple with hints of grey and a shimmery finish.
My Take
A light purple grey taupe
Drama Queen
A densely dark purple with a shimmery finish
My Take
Deep eggplant purple with purple glimmers, reminds me of UD Rockstar.
Corrupt
Intense matte black with a very subtle sparkle
My Take
Fantastic matte black (not a new shade, but one of my favorite)
Aside from Boo Berry being patchy on my hand, the rest of the colors were smooth. I love the peachy shade Peach Smoothie, as it’s easy to pair up with a hot pink or a teal like Peacock.
