Urban Decay Friends & Family Sale Recommendations

Since the Urban Decay Friends and Family 2012 Sale is going on right now (Oct. 9 through Oct. 13), I thought I’d make some suggestions on what I recommend purchasing! As a reminder the code is FFHOLIDAY12 for 20% off.

Urban Decay Friends and Family 2012 Coupon Code Sale

1. Urban Decay Naked Skin Liquid Foundation – $38, on sale for $30.40
Available in 18 shades, this foundations has a unique finish that is very much a ‘My Skin but Better’ look and I love it. I’m not the only blogger to sing its praises, either. My friends Brittany (her shade is 12) and Judi (her shade is 5.5) love it, too :) You can see my meticulous review here. You can see my swatches of 7 of the shades here.

2. Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush – $24.00, on sale for $19.20
Winner of my Favorite Makeup Brush award, the Good Karma Brush single handedly  revolutionized foundation application for me! It works well with powder or liquid foundations and makes my skin look flawless. You can see my rave review here.

3. Urban Decay Smoked Palette – $49.00, on sale for $39.20
I love this palette and I’ve found it to be so versatile! Between the awesome tutorial book that came with it, the Perversion pencil, and the eyeshadows, I’ve been in heaven. It was perfect for travel and every occasion when I was on my trip. It did everything from casual to wedding looks. Check out my review here.

4. Urban Decay Fun Palette – $36, on sale for $28.80
This palette really lives up to its name. It can do srs bsns with Sellout, Stray Dog and Maui Wowie. It can also get freaky with Deep End, Fishnet and Freakshow. Plus, I like the Midnight Cowboy gloss. Check out my review here.

5. Urban Decay XL De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray – $18, on sale for $14.40
This spray was amazing in the hot, sticky August outdoors of Indiana, keeping my makeup in place for my friend’s outdoor wedding. It’s also been wonderful here in humid Florida, too.

6. Urban Decay Vice Palette – $59, on sale for $47.20
This is a really good mix of brights and neutrals, and it’s almost as much fun as the 15th Anniversary palette. You get 20 shades and a nice double ended brush, too! You can see my review here.

7. Urban Decay Single Eyeshadows – $18, on sale for $14.40
If there are any singles you’re dying to have, now is the time to stock up! I’ve purchased a ton of the singles and love them. I’d recommend Pistol, S&M, Shattered, Mildew, Cobra, Gunmetal, Woodstock, Half-Baked and Twice Baked. You can see my review on Shattered / Pistol / Mildew here.

8. Urban Decay Build Your Own Palette – $18, on sale for $14.40
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention purchasing the Build Your Own Palette for $18, since on sale it’s $14.40 and it comes with Walk of Shame, which I’ve found to be a very versatile, useful shade. You can see my review here.

I agree the Smoked Pallet is AWESOME! I may have to try the foundation. I’m starting to hunt for something new.

I picked up the Vice Palette and the XL setting spray. I want a ton of other things too (like the Ocho Loco eyeliner set), but I’m trying to be good. There are a couple of sets I’m planning on getting from Sephora during their F&F, so I held back. :-)
