How interesting! I wasn't aware that there were one-day cleanses. I feel more likely to try one knowing it would just be for one day, so thank you for sharing your experience. I do fear the crankiness and tiredness, so I'd potentially try it on a weekend if my curiosity outweighed my fear of feeling poorly!

Juice cleanses are kinda bad for your health but drinking this stuff just as a juice with a meal and not a cleanse is probably fine and healthy. I would personally never do a juice cleanse but I want to taste that spicy lemon one.

Wow love reading about how you felt with each juice. I have done several cleansers and they definitely make you feel tire until you start eating again normal, but I have an uncle in Venezuela that always does it at least once a month to recharge and clean the body.

I'm going to check out this website..

I add hemp seeds to my yogurt or granola cereal. They have a subtle sunflower taste to me. I am sorry to say that with my food allergies, I wouldn't be able to drink half the juices they list. Too bad they don't allow you to pick the ones you can drink. I love ginger. I often make unsweetened ginger tea when my tummy is upset. Sorry you don't like it more.

I'm not a fan of phony science for the sake of marketing. How does a naturally acidic lemon 'alkalinize' all of a sudden? Oh well. It's marketing and if it sells, it works.

But if it helps you feel better, who am I to judge?

@JessiM I can make no claims on whether or not it alkalizes. I just know that I felt really spacy, cranky and tired during the cleanse. The benefit I saw the day after was that I had no issues with food portion control. I didn't overeat for the first time on Thanksgiving. This was fantastic for me. :)

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the green juice, but it's true that ginger has a really strong taste, and it's hard to get over it if you don't like it!!All of this juice seems really appealing to me, I'm curious about the one with hemp, as I never tried this! I think this kind of cleanse may be an easy thing to organise for someone who has a blender and fresh/organic market near by, and it has lots of benefits even if we don't feel them right away because our body is not used to it. Ideally I would include this in my normal diet maybe twice a month if I could, but unfortunatly I don't have the right requirements right now! Thanks for this post, I found it really interesting and I love how your articles are always with lots of details! Have a nice week-end :o)

@Lutrinae The hemp was soooooo chalky. bleh! I do sometimes make smoothies with a little bit of unsweetened almond milk and frozen fruit, which I love.

I'm glad you found it helpful!
