Dragon Potion Tutorial

mI like this look in concept, but I think it would have looked better with a matte purple crease. Don’t get me wrong, I love BftE Love Potion #9 and it’s a brilliant shade, but it would have worked better layered on top. Also? My brows are in a sad state and they need to waxed. Now.

Dragon Potion Look

BftE Love Potion #9 and Sugar Daddy

BftE Dragonslayer and Spring Fever

BftE Dragon Potion Tutorial

Make sure to prep the eyes with eyeshadow primer first. I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

How to Achieve the Look:

  1. Apply BftE Very Vanilla on the browbone, blending downwards. Use a soft brush to apply BftE Love Potion #9 to the outer lid and lower crease, blending upwards.
  2. Add a bit of BftE Sugar Daddy to the upper crease.
  3. Layer BftE Glistening on top of Sugar Daddy and the browbone and blend. Then apply BftE Dragonslayer to the middle of the lid.
  4. Add BftE Spring Fever to the inner lid and inner v.
  5. Line the outer lower lash line with Urban Decay 24/7 Ransom liner and line the waterline with Urban Decay 24/7 Midnight Cowboy liner.
  6. Add mascara.

I like it! It’s a little too dark for me but I enjoy the clever use of the pink on the inside corner, it’s a nice surprise that distinguishes it from a more common purple eyeshadow look.

Had to comment on this look, it’s beautiful.  It actually looks nicer with your eyes open on this one whereas it’s normally when you close them that you can appreciate the full look but this one’s different – that sounds bad but I don’t mean it to be.  With me, I lose the look completely once I open my eyes fully and it frustrates the hell out of me that I can create something that looks so perfect if I were to walk around with my eyes closed all day, yet disappears or looks totally unflattering when they’re open :-)  I’m going to try and recreate this one myself so thank you.
Absolutely gorgeous, fresh and pretty and that lip colour with its slight purple/blue shimmer compliments it perfectly

dvdfjojo Thank you! I absolutely recommend when you’re doing your eyeshadow, open your eyes to fade the crease above where you’re open. Because I have hooded / deepset eyes, that’s the only way you’ll see my crease at all.
