Last Fall I picked up NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Train Bleu. It’s the perfect color for Fall and Winter months for when you want to vamp it up.
The Website Claims:
Combining the convenience of a pencil with the application of a lipstick in a jumbo-sized crayon design, these pigment-rich sticks provide a matte, creamy finish that will not dry the lips. Enriched with emollients, vitamin E, and silicone, each gorgeous shade glides on and stays put.
Train Bleu is a deep aubergine.

Train Bleu is a long wearing lip color that doesn’t dry me out, though I do recommend prepping the lip by exfoliating and applying a light moisturizer before you wear it. I think it’s particularly flattering on my skintone, but I like bold and dark lips. I also like that it’s matte, though if you’re not a fan of mattes you can slick a gloss on top. This may effect your wear time.
If you’re worried about application, you can apply it first with the lip pencil and then use a lip brush to even the application.
Would I purchase again?
Yes! I love this shade. I really feel like NARS delivers quality with their lip pencils.
