5 Must Have Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars

With close to 50 shades of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars, it can be hard to decide which ones to get. Here are my 5 must have shades.

5 Must Have Obsesive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars

Nylon – classic bubblegum pink with a neon twist
Interlace – palest peach crème
Belladonna – ultra ultra violet
Harlot – fiery red coral
Strumpet – deep red-burgundy

Interlace is good for an everyday neutral / natural shade. If you don’t like peach, try Lydia or Memento.
Nylon is a fantastic neon bubblegum pink, great for when you want a bright lip. Pretty Boy or Anime are good alternatives if you don’t like the bubblegum tone.
Belladonna is a beautiful violet. If you don’t like violet, you might like Hoochie.
Strumpet is a perfect burgundy shade but if it’s too red for you, try Demure.
Harlot is an attention grabbing coral red, but if it’s too bright or warm for you, try NSFW.

Unfortunately Belladonna was discontinued :-( My favorite right now is definitely Super NSFW. I'm also liking Lydia and Marion for a more neutralish lip.

I'd heard such amazing things about the OCC lip tars that I bought the five-pack online at Sephora. However, I've had trouble getting them to stay on. I use the brush that was included, but they seem to bleed and not last too long. Any clue what I'm doing wrong?

@bzjash How much are you using? The first mistake people make with them is applying too much. Take a pin sized amount on the brush and that is usually enough to cover both lips. I also use a lip primer sometimes, and to prevent bleeding a clear lip pencil(or a pencil in a shade of the lip color if you want) helps. I've never really needed a lip pencil but I know a lot of people have issues with them bleeding so that can help a lot. But number one, make sure you use a tiny amount to start off. Hope that helps. :-)

@Whimsical Kelly If you don't mind my asking, how does Black Dahlia compare to Strumpet?  I've been on the hunt for a replacement for my favorite, now-discontinued red lippie.  It was a deep, saturated cool red, pulls slightly berryish if applied lightly.  I've found a few close-but-not-quite, most of them are a shade too purple or too bright.  I'd thought from seeing some swatches that Black Dahlia might be a fair dupe, but Strumpet sounds similar in this post, so I'm wondering how they compare.
