A Merry Christmas Eve to you all! Today I have some gorgeous gold eyeshadows for you, all from Darling Girl Cosmetics. I figured today is the perfect day for some golds.
I’ve got Haystacks, a Watercolor Paint Pot, Mayor’s Daughter (from the Hunger Games inspired Only One Can Win collection), Honey Pot, Evil Empire, Bazinga! (from the Big Bang Theory inspired Nerdvana collection), and GWP Aridoarikato.
Row 1: Haystacks – Mayor’s Daughter – Evil Empire
Row 2: Bazinga! – Honey Pot – Aridoarikato
I wanted to show you how pretty Haystacks looks in the pot. It’s a very rich, pretty bronze.
Haystacks
gorgeous golden bronze
My Take
rich metallic bronze with gold tones
Mayor’s Daughter
bright, yellow gold with pink sparkles
My Take
Slightly aged gold with pink and blue sparkles
Evil Empire
super-metallic, golden-olive drab with tons of contrasting purple shimmer.
My Take
golden olive with blue-violet sparkles
Bazinga!
gold with red undertones and subtle pink sparkles.
My Take
Yellow gold with pink sparkles
Honey Pot
a loud, red-orange tinged gold
My Take
rich metallic gold with red-orange tones
Aridoarikato
My Take
Light beige-tan with slight gold sparkles and strong pink sparkles
This is Haystacks on the lid. I used a bit of Sunday Riley Fool’s Gold in the crease and Sugarpill Tako on the browbone. It pulls very orange on me. I do think it’s great with my eye color.

Darling Girl eyeshadows range in price from $2.50 to $5.90, while the watercolor paint pots are $5.25.
I really like Bazinga! and Honey Pot! And I think Haystacks makes a nice alternative to MAC’s Indianwood (though I still have a nearly full one to go through, I will swatch them side by side for you sometime).
