I wanted to squeak this out before the end of the year. I didn’t receive the November Glossybox until right before I left for New York.
For my previous Glossybox Reviews and recaps:
- September Glossybox USA
- August Glossybox USA
- July Glossybox USA
- June Glossybox USA
- Inagural May Glossybox USA
For whatever reason, I didn’t receive an October Glossybox. My guess is that I won’t see a December Glossybox, either.
November’s Glossybox Contained:
Incoco Nail Polish applique – $8 (not pictured) (not sure if they’ere cruelty-free)
Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Devotion – $20 (cruelty-free)
Kryolan for Glossybox Blush in Glossy Rosewood – $9 (cruelty-free)
Nume Style Argan Oil – $59 (not sure if they’ere cruelty-free)
Skin & Co. Roma Truffle Serum – $36 (not sure if they’ere cruelty-free)
This is Skin & Co’s statement regarding ethics and the environment. I couldn’t find anything about animal testing.
Here are swatches of the Rosewood blush and Devotion medium pencil. I actually really like the blush and I think it’s a flattering shade of pink. I LOVE the Devotion medium pencil color! It’s a color I love but would never buy for myself unless it was on sale. It’s such a pretty, minty green.
I have a few other Illamasqua medium pencils (Bait, Vow and Debonair). They can be used on the eyes, lips, or anywhere on the face. While I can’t get the medium pencils to stick around on my waterline or my eyes (they migrate, sadly), they’re great on the lips.
As with the previous Kryolan products, I really like the blush! I need to add more Kryolan to my makeup collection.
The Incoco nail polish applique that came with my box was confiscated by my friend before I could even try it out, so suffice it to say, that product was well-loved. I’ve decided that, in general, I don’t think the cost of 1 set of stickers is worth it because you pay $8-$10 for 1 set of stickers that can last up to 10 days, but you can pay the same price for a bottle of nail polish that will last you for much longer. Still, there are some really cute designs out there! The set that came with my glossybox was a deep burgundy, no pattern.
I haven’t tried the Argan Oil or Truffle Serum.
Products that were loved:
Incoco nail polish strips
Kryolan Glossy Rosewood blush
Illamasqua Devotion medium pencil
Products I’m neutral about:
Skin & Co. Roma Truffle Serum
Nume Style Argan Oil
Products I hated:
None
Now, when I was in New York City with Maria, I got to speak with some of the people at Glossybox to see what their vision was for the company. They envision Glossybox as the gifts your BFF brings you back from her trip overseas, the new ‘it’ items in skincare. So they envision the box as mostly skincare, not really makeup.
I was overall pretty happy with this box, and I feel it was worth the $21 price this month, since the Illamasqua pencil alone was worth $20. I think this is the first box that I’ve been overall happy with, too.
What do you think of Glossybox USA November? Do you love it or hate it? Are you interested in any of these products?
