A popular item in our O2B2 Kit is this gadget. Mascara application is clean and with ease using this tool, and weaving real lashes with false lashes is a breeze. A definite must-have for makeup pros, and aspiring MUAs. The guard prevents mascara from getting on the lid, upper or lower. Easily can be cleaned with soap and water.

While it was initially a bit awkward for me to use on myself, it’s very easy to use on someone else! You’re currently looking at the ‘top’ of it. You place the ‘bottom’ of it against the eyelid at the lash line, and then you gently lift up. It exposes the roots of the lashes and makes it easy to apply mascara to the person.

It’s definitely a great little tool, especially for the price!

Have you tried any sort of mascara shield? If so, did you like it?

I have a mascara shield, I use it pretty much every time I do my makeup! I love it so much – I don’t understand why they aren’t more popular in the US! Mine was a $1 cheapie from ebay, though.

Emi at Project Swatch I had never heard of one until I saw Koren’s!

I’ve never even heard of a mascara shield. At first I thought “why would I need one?” because I usually don’t get mascara anywhere but my lashes, but after hearing how it lifts up to get better coverage I’m thinking, maybe this is something to have in the kit.

Hipstermama Yep, it’s perfect for a kit!

Looks like a clever idea, I get mascara on my non lash eyeparts all the time… $10 though? Usually I can wipe off mistakes with a twist of a q-tip.

thecakepie I always end up screwing up my eyshadow when I use the q-tip, so for me it’s better to use something like this.

No, I don’t have a mascara shield. That’s interesting, thank you for showing it to us!
