Today I’ve got some of the Wet n’ Wild Fergie Centerstage collection for you. I purchased 6 of the lipsticks and one of the shimmer palettes. This post is all about the lipsticks.
I’ve got all of the lipsticks lined up here except for D-Vinely Chilled.
I wanted to talk to you about the packaging. While I like the sleek look and I appreciate that you can see the color of the product through the clear cap, I HATE that you can’t twist the product all the way down in the tube. I nicked D-Vinely Chilled because of that, and it really irritated me. While I’m fine with the plain black packaging of my other Wet n’ Wild products, this is a nice change, aside from that ‘feature.’ I think that the lipsticks should be able to be protected and not knicked when inside the tube.
I’ve got hand and lip swatches for you of these colors. I actually think they’re pretty awesome. I love ALL the colors.
Pagan Angel is a semi-matte black. It applied patchy for me, even with the help of a lip brush. If I’d used my Nyx lip liner in Blackberry, it would not have been noticeable. This was the most difficult shade in the set for me. I bought it just because of the name. That, and I knew Ray would like it.
I layered Venomous Cosmetics Venom gloss on top, which is a gold with a slight green shift and it really perked it up, in my opinoion.
Ferguson Crest Cabernet is a pretty burgundy wine satin with magenta undertones. While it’s very opaque, this was the second most difficult shade in the set. It is very pigmented though and I do love the color.
Fuchsianista is a bright fuchsia with slight violet sheen. It reminds me of Illamasqua Atomic or MAC Show Orchid. this one gave me no trouble. In fact, this one and the rest made me think that Wet n’ Wild had tweaked their formula a bit. While on the dry side, it’s not drying. It reminds me almost of Morgana Cryptoria lipsticks. You can see that I managed to capture a bit of the violet sheen on the lipstick itself, as well as on my lips. I just love this shade!
Penthouse Sweet is a midtone blue-based pink satin. I love this sort of shade. It almost makes me think of a Barbie pink.
D-Vinely Chilled is a very pretty plum wine shade with fine gold shimmer. I’ve got it applied very lightly here and blotted.
Fergie Daily is a nude beige satin color. I think it’s perfect for pairing with a smoky eye.
Overall, I like the lipsticks. I think the only one you have to put any effort into wearing is Pagan Angel. The rest are easy to wear, especially if you have a lip brush.
Price
$3.49 from Walgreens for .12 oz of product. You may be able to find coupons to make them less expensive.
Would I purchase again?
Yes! I only took 1/2 a star off for Pagan Angel and Ferguson Crest Cabernet being a bit difficult. The rest were great.
Have you tried these lipsticks? What do you think of them?
Wet n’ Wild is cruelty-free. All products purchased by me. All opinions are my own.
