Franken Purse

Ever wish you could make your own purse? I know I do! I keep searching for that ‘perfect handbag‘ but everything falls a little short. Recently I’ve loved the shoulder strap style of of one bag, or the outside pocket on another. I really liked the inside pockets for organization in yet another bag. Finally, there’s the perfect shade of vegan leather. It’s hard to find a bag that meets all of those requirements and is well made!

The base bag shape that I like, that’s close to perfect, is the Perlina Devon Tote. It’s a great shade of purple and great basic shape. The shoulder strap from the Betsey Johnson Wash Out Hobo looks really neat. The outside pocket on the Volcom Candy Shop handbag would work well with the faux pocket on the Devon. The Amy Michelle Zebra Tote has a lot of interior pockets for organization. If only they could be rolled up into one bag!

What about you? If you were frankening your own bag, what would you create? What features are important to you?

I have nothing to disclose except my lust for the perfect handbag, preferably without neck bolts.

I know there are lots of great purse organizers on the market, which make it easy to switch between purses. You might want to look into one of those. (Let me know if you're at a loss, I can DM you some links.)

I have yet to find the "perfect" purse. I've been using the same one for almost 10 years! I'm the same way about makeup palettes. If I don't like a shade, I'll press something in its place. I'll also convert palettes I like into freestyle palettes. For example, I converted my Tarina Tarantina Dollskin Cheek Palette into a freestyle palette because it's the exact size as the (now discontinued) Inglot freestyle palettes I love.

@BooBooNinja Yes, please send me some purse organizers, so I can see what you mean. I feel like my larger, softer purses without a stiff bottom or design are ones I reach for less often because it's hard to find stuff.

Amazing. I am always fond of handbags. I can never compromise with handbags. I have more than 10 handbags in my wadrobe each having different design and colour and i am looking forward to increase the number. :) The Designs of franken purses are really remarkable. I just love them. :)

Frankenbag. That's great! I have no idea to be honest because I have never owned a decent purse. I know what I don't like- ones that don't open wide enough. Ones that don't have a sturdy bottom-it makes it too hard to dig around in blindly. I tend to not like the ones that have the middle bit that is a purse with in a purse. I like ones with flat shoulder straps because they stay on my shoulder better. And I usually like big bags because I carry a LOT of "supplies" with me at all times. I could get stranded somewhere and fashion an emergency kit for a family of four from things in my purse on any given day. My biggest purse wish is one that can carry my 20 pounds of basic necessities and make it feel like 5 pounds instead of 30. And it would have the ability to be whatever colour I need it to be that day.

Right now I just want the Anthropologie Croc Blush Satchel in the exact color and style as it is, but not in leather and not for $228.00. I saw it a couple of weeks ago in the store and it's so nice otherwise.

I just picked up a Baggallini Allure Crossbody. It is about as close to perfect as I can get. My only complaint is it is a bit plain. However, it is just large enough to carry everything I need without being too large, and has enough pockets to keep me organized. Even better, I got it on sale.
