Today I’ve got the Pumpkin & Poppy “Meet Me in Montauk” Valentine’s Day collection for you. Pumpkin & Poppy is a vegan, indie company that makes some great cream products and this collection is no exception.
“Meet Me in Montauk” is based on the 2004 film, Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind. This collection features romantic neutrals, and bright vivid tones inspired by Clementine’s many brilliant colored hair dye experiments.
Blue Ruin eyeliner – deep indigo violet
My Take
Deep navy indigo.
Joely eyeliner – deep maroon brown
My Take
Deep red-toned brown
Montauk is based on the color of a cold, grey wintery ocean on a crisp, overcast day. It is a complex, multi-dimensional cool toned grey, perfect for a neutral look with a pop of something special. My Take
Cool grey base with aqua blue shimmer. Definitely multi-dimensional.
Night Picnic is a effortless neutral to wear everyday; it is a soft muted mauve with tan undertones with dimension and warmth. A great lid or crease color!
My Take
Midtone tan brown with tinky sparkles.
Red Menace is inspired by a hair dye name that Clementine comes up with in the film. It is also inspired by her own vibrant hot red hair and the pink color of her beret. This color is not quite a red, not quite a pink…it lies in the middle of the two.
My Take
Hot pink cream blush.
Clementine Lip Gloss is a beautiful, soft yellow toned peach with blue shimmer to add a pop of something quirky
My Take
Midtone peachy orange with delicate blue shimmer.

The cream eyeliners are very matte in finish. Since they are creams, they need to be set with a translucent powder or eyeshadow so that they don’t transfer. I love the blush, it gives a gorgeous flush. The eyeshadows have a very nice texture. I really liked the gloss and its unexpected aqua blue sparkles. I always love orange shades for Spring and Summer, and I think this one is nice!
Overall, this is a really neat and unexpected Valentine’s Day collection. While I’m not a fan of the movie, I do adore the collection and its concept.
