At IMATS LA 2013 I purchased the Too Faced Air-Buffed BB Creme Foundation in Snow Glow to try out. I saw it at the Namie’s booth and was very excited by the fact that it looked like Snow Glow would be light enough for my skintone! I also later acquired Linen Glow. I’ve been using this foundation for almost a month now and I feel like I can give a thorough review on it.
The Website Claims
This is the first complete coverage beauty balm that evens skintone and banishes imperfections with an air-buffed second-skin finish. The result? Flawless-looking skin. The cream-to-powder formula provides long-lasting, complete, and buildable coverage with the benefits of five products: it perfects, mattifies, primes, moisturizes, and protects with SPF 20. Blend this lightweight formulation onto your skin with a snap-in-place Air Buff Brush specifically created with Too Faced’s signature cruelty-free Teddy Bear Hair.

I will say, it always pays to try the foundation shades, even if you haven’t previously had a match. While the Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm SPF 20 in Snow Glow is too dark for me, this product and formula seems to be light enough to match me.
I must also say that I love the finish of Too Faced’s foundations. The Amazing Face Liquid and powder are both great, which is why I would wear them even when they were a tad too dark for me. I feel like Too Faced knows how to do a great foundation.
This is Linen Glow.
This is Snow Glow.
This is the brush that comes with every bb creme.
Tips for Application
To apply this foundation, dab the brush in tiny circles across the bb creme. Then apply to the face, starting at the center and moving outward in a circular motion. It is very much like applying a loose mineral foundation, in my opinion. You basically buff this bb creme into your skin. You can pat it on if you need to conceal a spot. Pat for coverage, buff to blend, repeat to build up to the desired coverage.
You can see from the pictures above, that Snow Glow works nicely with my skintone. It gives me nice coverage, but doesn’t completely cover my rosacea spots unless I build it up. I consider the foundation to be light to medium coverage, but it is buildable. You can build it up to closer to full.
Now, I like the brush that they give you with the foundation, but I really only use it for under the eyes, as it fits there perfectly. I prefer to use the Sigma F88 Flat Angled Kabuki, which is meant for cream products, with it or the Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush.

While it can be worn without primer or finishing powder, I prefer to wear it with a finishing powder to set it. What I really like about this foundation is that it isn’t settling in my pores. I feel like I’ve had that problem a lot lately, where no matter what I wear, it pools in my pores, so it’s nice to not have to deal with that. I’ve gotten 8 hours of wear, but I need to touch up towards the end of the day when wearing it.
I am of the opinion that the foundation shouldn’t come with a brush. While it’s a nice brush (and I really do love the Too Faced brush quality), I’d rather see a lower price for the foundation or more product for the price, as you’re only getting .98 oz for $39. Of course, I’m also very particular about what type of brush I use with my foundations and I do use brushes that I feel will give me the best results.
My biggest concern with this foundation is that it has a limited shade range. It really only has light to medium shades. It doesn’t offer shades for those with deeper skintones. However, I am really pleased by the fact that there’s a shade that actually matches me, which is often not the case with foundations. I did take off 1/2 star because of the fact that the foundation is missing shades for deeper skintones.
Now, I know many of you will want to know how I feel about this being called a bb cream. I feel like this is closer to a BB cream than most other American BB creams. I really like this product. It doesn’t get dry or cakey. It works as a foundation and concealer because it has buildable coverage. It has smart ingredients to nourish the skin. It has SPF. While I would never rely on it for my full SPF coverage, I really do like the additional SPF to protect my face, especially because it contains a physical sunblock of Titanium Dioxide. So I’m ok with it being called a bb cream.
Overall, I really like this foundation. If you’re looking for a new foundation, I think it’s worth checking out. Too Faced does foundation really well and the Air-Buffed BB Creme is no exception, in my opinion.
What do you think of the Too Faced Air-Buffed BB Creme foundation? Would you wear it?
Some products purchased by me. Some products sent for consideration. All opinions are my own. To the best of my knowledge, Too Faced is cruelty-free.

Great review! I love that they made one which is a match for you because that means it might match me. It certainly isn’t cheap though, and I hope they bring out refills ASAP so customers don’t have to buy one with a new brush every time!
Jedi Ana I think it will look fantastic on you!
will have to check this out next time I’m at Sephora/Ulta.
cinseven13 definitely! I can’t wait to hear what you think.
You give the BEST foundation reviews. Very detailed with great pictures. You’ve convinced me to check this out!
PeaceLoveGlittr Thank you! I’m really glad you like it I tried to cover everything I could think of and all the questions I would want answered.
I am SOLD. I absolutely love Too Faced products and have been searching for the right product that will even out my skintone. I’m torn between the two lightest shades but my daughter is more fair, so if the lightest doesn’t work for me, it will work for her. Thanks for such a great review and all the tips!!
manicuredslayer Glad to help
I’m so glad to see you review this. My complexion is almost identical to yours, except I have a touch more rosacea on my cheeks. I had been debating this product, but couldn’t decide if the snow glow was to dark or not. It looks perfect. I do have a question (that you may or may not be able to answer). I have very fair skin with pink undertones (including the rosacea. Should I go for the snow glow or the vanilla glow with the golden undertones to tone down the red? Will that be too dark? Consider what it would look like on your skin tone because I’m almost identical. Don’t worry, I won’t hold you responsible if it does not match me! I know how to return products! Thanks. I love your blogs.
Ann Clothier I didn’t try the Vanilla glow, so I would say go in person to swatch the Vanilla glow on your rosacea to see if it’s too dark or if it tones down the redness. For me, I consider my undertones neutral, but this is pale enough to work with me without making me look pink and sunburnt. I am using metrogel creme on my face before I go to bed every night to make sure that my cheeks are not red. Sadly, I’m experiencing a rosacea flare up and I have zits on my chin right now.
Your skin looks so amazing! I was really interested in this too, but I wanted to wait for your review first
Audrey C. Thanks Audrey!
Yay I have been waiting for this review since I saw you got the foundation! I will get it in Snow Glow as soon as it becomes available. There is pre-bookings for it on a Swedish beauty store but the lightest shade they have is Vanilla Glow. :/ I’m putting my hopes to beautybay, or ill hs e to ask someone to CP it for me. Vanilla Glow will be too dark for me. Looks lovely on you!
steelnpurple Definitely check and see if you can find it on evilbay, too.
This stuff did look great on you. and now i have to try it out. Hopefully it wont make me look like an oil slick, thats the only problem i have with bb creams so far.
Amber M This is definitely not oily to me!
I bought this a few weeks ago (actually after seeing it in one of your pics!) because I had high hopes for the fairest shade as well. The color match is good and the coverage suits my taste, but I have drier skin, and up close it can make me look a little flaky. I’m hoping this will resolve when the weather warms up (I’m in the northeast and winters here are hard on the face).
thebeckbeck you can also try using a serum on your skin, to add moisture.
My God, you look air brushed your skin is SO flawless!!! Now I need to check this out at my Ulta,
PrimeBeauty50 Thank you! I’m really loving it right now!

Gorgeous results! I think this is one of the more flawless foundations I’ve seen.
I also wish this came in cool tones. The lightest is too light for me, but the next shade darker is too dark and too golden. Your eyebrows look fantastic by the way!
This looks interesting, great review! I have been wanting to try more face-type products from Too Faced, it is a company that has always impressed me with everything I’ve tried in the past!
I do love that Snow Glow looks like a very good, realistic yellow-toned shade for very fair skintones, which I know is often overlooked. But I agree that the limited shade range is a problem – it really bothers me when brands do that. It does look lovely on you though. It’s nice they included a brush, given the price
I’ve been eyeing this every time I go to Ulta lately. I love everything about Too Faced, and want more of their stuff…it’s just kinda pricey for me! Anyway… Your review has made me want this even more! I just need to figure out which shade to get, I always have a hard time figuring out my shade.
Also, which of those two brushes you mentioned (Sigma vs. UD) would you recommend if you had to choose between the two?
P.S. it’s @pinkpamalamma from IG here
