I was so excited when I got a sneak peek at the Jesse’s Girl Julie G Frosted Gum Drops Nail Polish a few months ago. I fell in love with Tangerine Dream. I did a sponge gradient with Tangerine Dream as the base and Candy Crush for the tips. Tutorial coming soon. Trying to capture the colors was challenging. I’m also working with a new lighting setup and I think I still need more lights.

To wear Frosted Gum Drops polish, I recommend using a base coat. I did not use a top coat  but I think if you’re freaked out by texture, you can use a top coat. For these polishes, you still see some shimmer with them when they have a top coat. I like the effect, but i prefer it dry.

To me, Tangerine Dream, Sugar Rush and Hot Cinnamon had more of a shimmery finish, whereas Crushed Candy, Blueberry Fizz and Rock Candy had larger chunks of silver glitter within their shimmery finishes. If you only get 1 textured polish, I highly recommend Tangerine Dream. It’s perfect for Spring and Summer. I love it!

I know that texture polish is an either love or hate thing, as a lot of people don’t like texture. Many people didn’t like crackle, either. I don’t like _all_ textured polish but I really do like the Jesse’s Girl Julie G Frosted Gum Drops and the Milani Textured Creams. I can’t get over how awesome Tangerine Dream is and I’m so happy that it’s finally mine! I’ll be wearing it more!
